INVESTIGATION OF THE REFEREE SELF-EFFICACY LEVELS OF THE VOLLEYBALL REFEREES

Öz

The
aim of this study is to examine the referees' self-efficacy of Turkish
volleyball referees according to various variables. The sample group of the study
consisted of 377 Volleyball Referees (159 Female, 218 Male) who were refereeing
during 2018-2019 competition season in Turkey. Personal information form and
Referee Self-Efficacy Scale, which was conducted by Karaçam ve Pulur (2017) for
Turkish validity and reliability, was used as data collection tool. SPSS 22
program was used to analyze the data. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to
determine whether the data showed normal distribution. The significance level
was accepted as p<0.05 in the analyzes. Mann-Whitney U test was used to
analyze the data of gender and volleyball experience variables. Kruskal-Wallis
test was used to analyze the age, education level and referee level. As a
result of the research, a significant difference was found in the self-efficacy
of the arbitrator and gender, age, and refereeing level (p <0.05). There was
no significant difference in educational status (p> 0.05). When the results
of the study were evaluated; it can be said that gender, age, volleyball player
career and refereeing level can be among the determinants of self-efficacy
levels of volleyball referees.

VOLEYBOL HAKEMLERİNİN HAKEM ÖZ YETERLİK DÜZEYLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Öz

Bu araştırmada; Türkiye’deki voleybol hakemlerinin hakemlik
öz yeterliklerinin çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Araştırmanın katılımcıları, 2018-2019 yarışma sezonunda faal olarak hakemlik
yapan 377 voleybol hakeminden (159 Kadın, 218 Erkek) oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada
veri toplama aracı olarak kişisel bilgi formu ve ‘’Hakem Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği
(HÖYÖ)’’ kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde SPSS 22 programı
kullanılmıştır. Verilerin normal dağılım gösterip göstermediğini tespit etmek
için Kolmogorov-Smirnov testi uygulanmıştır. Analizlerde anlamlılık düzeyi p<0.05
olarak kabul edilmiştir. Cinsiyet ve voleybolculuk geçmişi değişkenine ait
verilerin analizinde Mann-Whitney U testi uygulanmıştır. Katılımcıların yaş, eğitim
durumu ve hakemlik düzeyi değişkenlerinin analizinde Kruskal-Wallis testi
uygulanmıştır. Gruplar arasında anlamlı bulunan farklılığı belirlemek için Mann-Whitney
U testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda voleybol hakemlik öz yeterliğinin
cinsiyet, yaş, voleybolculuk deneyimi, eğitim durumu ve hakemlik düzeyine göre anlamlı
şekilde farklılaştığı belirlenmiştir (p<0.05). Araştırmada elde edilen
sonuçlar değerlendirildiğinde; cinsiyetin, yaşın, voleybol oyunculuğu
geçmişinin ve hakemlik düzeyinin, voleybol hakemlerinin öz yeterlik
düzeylerinin belirleyicileri arasında yer aldığı söylenebilir.
