Okullarda Mikro Kimlikler

Öz

Bireyler, toplumsal yaşamın farklı alanlarında çeşitli roller üstlenmekte ve bu roller aracılığıyla kimliklerini şekillendirmektedir. Kimlik, bireylerin kendilerini tanımlama ve toplumsal bağlamda konumlandırma süreçlerini ifade ederken; mikro kimlik, bireyin belirli anlarda veya durumlarda sergilediği kimlik özellikleridir. Okul paydaşları (okul yöneticileri, öğretmenler ve öğrenciler), birbirleriyle olan etkileşimlerinde çeşitli mikro kimlikler geliştirmektedir. Araştırma, okullarda mikro kimlik kavramının önemine dikkat çekmekte ve bu kimliklerin bireylerin sosyal rollerini, davranışlarını ve etkileşimlerini nasıl şekillendirdiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu araştırma, sistematik derleme deseninde literatür taraması türünde nitel bir araştırmadır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, okul yöneticileri; lider, arabulucu, toplum temsilcisi, proje yöneticisi, teknokrat ve kapsayıcı kimlik olmak üzere çeşitli mikro kimlik davranışları sergilemektedir. Bu kimlikler, yöneticinin kültürel geçmişi ve sosyal etkileşimleri sonucunda ortaya çıkmaktadır. Öğretmenler ise eğitimci, danışman, mentor, yenilikçi, araştırmacı ve topluluk lideri kimliği gibi çeşitli mikro kimlikler geliştirmektedir. Bu mikro kimlikler, onların öğretim yöntemlerini, öğrenciyle olan etkileşimlerini ve genel olarak eğitim yaklaşımlarını şekillendirmektedir. Öğrenciler de okul ortamında farklı sosyal gruplarla etkileşimleri sonucunda akademik, sosyal, kültürel ve kolektif okul türü kimliği gibi mikro kimlikler geliştirmektedir. Bu kimlikler, öğrencilerin onların öğrenme deneyimlerini ve akademik başarılarını etkilemektedir. Araştırma sonucunda mikro kimliklerin uzun vadeli etkilerinin incelendiği veya farklı kültürel bağlamlarda mikro kimliklere yönelik karşılaştırmalı analizlerin yapıldığı çalışmaların bu alandaki bilgi birikimini artırabileceği düşünülmektedir.

Micro Identities in Schools

Abstract

Individuals assume various roles in different areas of social life and shape their identities through these roles. While identity refers to the processes of individuals defining themselves and positioning themselves in the social context; micro-identity is the identity characteristics that individuals exhibit at certain moments or situations. School stakeholders (school administrators, teachers and students) develop various micro identities in their interactions with each other. The research draws attention to the importance of the concept of micro-identity in schools and reveals how these identities shape individuals' social roles, behaviours and interactions. This research is a qualitative research in the form of literature review in systematic review design. According to the research findings, school administrators exhibit various micro identity behaviours such as leader, mediator, community representative, project manager, technocrat and inclusive identity. These identities emerge as a result of the administrator's cultural background and social interactions. Teachers, on the other hand, develop various micro-identities such as educator, counsellor, mentor, innovator, researcher and community leader identity. These micro identities shape their teaching methods, their interactions with students and their educational approaches in general. Students also develop micro identities such as academic, social, cultural and collective school type identity as a result of their interactions with different social groups in the school environment. These identities affect students' learning experiences and academic achievement. As a result of the research, it is thought that studies examining the long-term effects of micro identities or comparative analyses of micro identities in different cultural contexts can increase the knowledge in this field.
