This study aimed to determine the skills of pre-service elementary school teachers in designing model-eliciting activity for elementary school students and their reflective views on the model-eliciting activities they designed. The research was carried out within the scope of qualitative research method. The study group consisted of 25 pre-service elementary school teachers. The model-eliciting activities designed by the pre-service elementary school teachers and the reflective views of the pre-service elementary school teachers on these activities were the data collection tools of the research. Model-eliciting activities designed by pre-service elementary teachers were analysed using the evaluation form created by Tekin Dede et al. (2017). Their reflective views were analysed using the reflective thinking model created by Artzt and Armour-Thomas (1999). According to the results obtained, pre-service elementary school teachers designed activities partially in accordance with the principles of construct documentation, model generalization and effective prototype. The reflective views of the pre-service elementary school teachers regarding the model-eliciting activities they designed were that they had difficulty in establishing a connection between mathematics and real life, designing a problem situation, solving the problem they designed, and creating a context for the problem situation.
