DEVELOPING AN ADOLESCENT SUBJECTIVE WELL BEING SCALE

Öz

The aim of this study is to develop Adolescent Subjective Well Being Scale. In this study, the data were collected from 250 participants including 156 females and 94 males between 14-18 years old. The researcher formed 35 items with respect to lay theories of adolescent and subjective well being theory, and gave these items to participants. The analyses for reliability and validity of the scale showed that there were four factors explaining 61.64 % variance of the scale, which was composed of 15 items. The internal consistency for the scale was found .86 and the findings showed that Adolescent Subjective Well Being Scale was a valid and reliable instrument.

ERGEN ÖZNEL İYİ OLUŞ ÖLÇEĞİNİN GELİŞTİRİLMESİ

Öz

Yetişkin mutluluğu ile ilgili oldukça çok çalışma yapılmıştır. Buna karşın ergen ve çocuk mutluluğu ile ilgili çalışmaların oldukça yeni olduğu görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada ergen öznel iyi oluş ölçeğinin geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmaya 14-18 yaşları arasında 156 kız ve 94 erkek olmak üzere toplam 250 ergen katılmıştır. Yapılan analizlerin sonucunda, dört boyutlu 15 maddeden oluşan açıklanan varyansı %61.64 olan bir ölçek elde edilmiştir. Ölçeğin iç tutarlık katsayısı .86 ve Spearman Brown değeri .83; test tekrar test yöntemine dayalı güvenirlik değeri ise .83’tür. Analizlerin sonucunda ergen öznel iyi oluş ölçeğinin güvenilir ve geçerli olduğu bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin, ileride yapılacak çalışmalar için kullanılabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
