All-on-4 dental implant konseptine ilişkin YouTube videolarının kalitesinin değerlendirilmesi

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, All-on-4 dental implant tedavisi konseptiyle ilgili YouTube videolarının içeriğini ve kalitesini değerlendirmektir. All-on-4 konsepti, mevcut kemiği kullanarak, iki dik ve iki distal açılı implant yerleştirerek ve birincil stabilite sağlandığında hemen sabit bir protez takarak tamamen dişsiz çeneleri rehabilite etmek için minimal invaziv bir alternatif sunmaktadır. Sosyal medyanın artan kullanımı göz önüne alındığında, hastalar ve diş hekimleri bilgi için genellikle YouTube gibi platformlara yönelmektedir. Ancak, bu bilgilerin doğruluğu ve kalitesi belirsizliğini korumaktadır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: 250 YouTube videosunun kesitsel analizi yapıldı. Dışlama kriterleri uygulandıktan sonra, değerlendirme için 62 video dahil edildi. Görüntüleme, beğeni, yorum ve yükleme tarihleri gibi video parametreleri kaydedildi. İçerik kalitesi, 15 temel konuya dayanan Toplam İçerik Puanı ve genel kalite için Video Bilgi ve Kalite Endeksi (VIQI) kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Ek olarak, eğitim değeri Küresel Kalite Ölçeği (GQS) kullanılarak değerlendirildi. İstatistiksel analizler SPSS yazılımı kullanılarak yapıldı. Bulgular: Ortalama VIQI puanı 10,69 ± 3,90 olup, orta düzeyde video kalitesini göstermektedir. Ortalama Toplam İçerik Puanı 6,21 ± 2,89 olup, genel olarak düşük ila orta düzeyde içerik kalitesini yansıtmaktadır. GQS puanı ortalama 2,61 ± 1,12 olup, düşük genel eğitim değerini göstermektedir. Video popülaritesi (görüntülemeler, beğeniler) ve VIQI arasında önemli pozitif korelasyonlar mevcuttur. Sonuçlar: All-on-4 konseptiyle ilgili YouTube videolarının çoğu, düşük ila orta düzeyde kaliteli bilgi sunmaktadır. Bu, sağlık profesyonellerinin bu tür platformlarda hastalar ve uygulayıcılar için güvenilir ve doğru bilgilerin mevcut olduğundan emin olma ihtiyacını vurgulamaktadır.

Evaluation of the quality of YouTube videos regarding the All-on-4 dental implant concept

Öz

Aim: This study aims to evaluate the content and quality of YouTube videos related to the All-on-4 dental implant treatment concept. The All-on-4 concept offers a minimally invasive alternative for rehabilitating fully edentulous arches by utilizing the available bone, placing two axial and two angled implants, and delivering a fixed prosthesis immediately when primary stability is achieved. Given the increasing use of social media, patients and dental professionals often turn to platforms like YouTube for information. However, the accuracy and quality of this information remain unclear. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional analysis of 250 YouTube videos was conducted. After applying exclusion criteria, 62 videos were included for evaluation. Video parameters such as views, likes, comments, and upload dates were recorded. Content quality was assessed using a Total Content Score, based on 15 key topics, and the Video Information and Quality Index (VIQI) for general quality. Additionally, educational value was evaluated using the Global Quality Scale (GQS). Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS software. Results: The average VIQI score was 10.69 ± 3.90, indicating moderate video quality. The average Total Content Score was 6.21 ± 2.89, reflecting a generally low to moderate content quality. The GQS score averaged 2.61 ± 1.12, indicating low overall educational value. Significant positive correlations existed between video popularity (views, likes) and VIQI. Conclusion: Most YouTube videos related to the All-on-4 concept present low to moderate-quality information. This highlights the need for healthcare professionals to ensure reliable and accurate information is available for patients and practitioners on such platforms.
