The aim of the study is to determine which quality of work life elements effect to the mindfulness which has an effect on positive and negative outcomes at individual and organizational level. Additionally, examining the existence of mediation role of mindfulness in the effect of quality of working life on positive organizational outcomes is another aim. The research is carried out in the context of female academics who face various difficulties in their working life. In this framework, the effect of the quality of working life on mindfulness and the effect of mindfulness on positive organizational outcomes are analyzed. In the last phase, the mediating role of mindfulness in the effect of working life quality on positive organizational outcomes is examined. Research data are obtained from 516 female academics. According to the analysis findings the quality of working life positively affects mindfulness. At the same time, mindfulness has a positive effect on positive organizational outcomes such as workplace happiness and job satisfaction. Besides, mindfulness has a partial mediator role in the effect of quality of working life on workplace happiness and job satisfaction. Another important result that reflects our basic exploration goals is that the components of the quality of working life that enable the occurrence of mindfulness are work-family role balance, person-job fit, legal factors and the corporate belonging attitude. Obtained latest finding is that person-job fit, which is sub-dimension of the quality of working life, explains workplace happiness with the full mediating role of mindfulness.
