Davranışsal Ketlenme Ölçeği: Ebeveyn Kısa Formunun Türkçeye Uyarlanması

Öz

Bu araştırmada Davranışsal Ketlenme Ölçeği: Ebeveyn Kısa Formunun Türkçeye uyarlanması amaçlanmıştır. Ölçeğin uyarlanması sürecinde ilk olarak 14 maddelik ölçek İngilizceden Türkçeye çevrilmiş daha sonra Türkçeden tekrar İngilizceye çevirisi yapılıp, gerekli dil kontrolleri yapılmıştır. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliliği için 3-5 yaş aralığında 300 çocuk (147 kız, 153 erkek) için toplanan veriler kullanılarak Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizi (AFA), 340 çocuk (171 kız, 169 erkek) için toplanan veriler ile de Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi (DFA) yapılmıştır. AFA sonucunda 12 madde tek boyutta toplanmıştır. Bu tek faktörlü yapı toplam varyansın %53,06’sını açıklamıştır. Belirlenen model DFA ile test edilmiş ve hesaplanan uyum değerlerinin iyi uyum gösterdikleri saptanmıştır. Ölçeğin toplamına ilişkin iç tutarlılık katsayısı ,917 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca, ölçeğin toplam puanına ilişkin alt ve üst %27’lik grupların ortalamaları arasında anlamlı farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, “Davranışsal Ketlenme Ölçeği: Ebeveyn Kısa Formu” geçerli ve güvenilir bir veri toplama aracı olarak kabul edilebilir.

Behavioral Inhibition Questionnaire: Adaptation of the Parent Short Form into Turkish

Öz

This study aimed to adapt the Behavioral Inhibition Questionnaire: Parent Short Form into Turkish. During the adaptation process, the 14-item questionnaire was first translated from English to Turkish and then back-translated from Turkish to English, and necessary linguistic checks were made. For the construct validity of the scale, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was conducted using data collected for 300 children (147 girls, 153 boys) between the ages of 3 and 5, and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was conducted with data collected for 340 children (171 girls, 169 boys). As a result of the EFA, 12 items were grouped into a single dimension. This single-factor structure explained 53.06% of the total variance. The determined model was tested with CFA, and the calculated fit values were found to be a satisfactory fit. The internal consistency coefficient for the total questionnaire was calculated as .917. Furthermore, a significant difference was determined between the means of the lower and upper 27% groups regarding the total questionnaire score. In conclusion, the Behavioral Inhibition Questionnaire: Parent Short Form can be considered a valid and reliable data collection tool.
