Abstract: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is defined universally based on two sources and the diagnostic criteria for the disorder are determined. These are DSM-5 and ICD-11. DSM-5 and ICD-11 emphasize that ASD is characterized by deficiencies in two main areas. These are “permanent deficits in the ability to initiate and maintain mutual social interaction and social communication, and the individual's limiting, repetitive, inflexible behavior, interests, and activities. Restricted and repetitive behaviors, which are important variables that determine the criterion and degree of the disorder in individuals with ASD, negatively affect the daily life activities, learning and socialization processes of such individuals. The aim of this study is to reveal the effect of limited and repetitive behaviors of individuals with ASD on their participation in daily life activities. In the research, qualitative data collection technique was used based on the phenomenology design, which is one of the qualitative research designs. The research was carried out according to the purposeful sampling technique and was carried out by interviewing 10 special education teachers. The research was carried out over a three-month period in the 2021-2022 fall semester. The research data were subjected to descriptive analysis through codes reflecting the research questions. In the study, findings regarding the opinions of the participants about the limited and repetitive behaviors of individuals with ASD affecting their participation in daily life activities were obtained and suggestions were made for further research.
