Baris Yilmaz is an Assoc.Prof.Dr. at the Manisa Celal Bayar University, Manisa, Turkey. He was born in Konya, Turkey in 1975. He graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering, Istanbul Technical University in 1997. He worked as Research Assistant in Dokuz Eylul University, Dept. of Civil Engineering from 2003 until receiving his Ph.D. degree in 2009. In his Ph.D. thesis, he developed a water resources management model that facilitates indicator-based decisions with respect to environmental, social and economic dimensions in a multiple criteria perspective as well as considering climate change impacts on water resources for the Gediz River Basin, Turkey. His research interest focuses on water resources management; computer aided modelling of watershed hydrology, climate change impacts on water resources, efficiency analyses, and multi criteria decision support systems.
