I am the Chairman of the Obstetric Anesthesia Subcommittee and the Audit Member of the Society of Turkish Anesthesiology and Reanimation and the Vice Coordinator of Obstetric Anesthesia Education Course affiliated by CEEA. I am a member of National Society of Regional Anesthesiology in addition to her ESA and SOAP memberships. I received Novartis’s Pharmacology Research Award in 2004 and SOAP free paper award at the residents’ forum in 2007. My trainee Dr.Selin Erel has recently received Young Teaching Recognition Award at 2017 Euroanaesthesia under my mentorship. I have been invited as a speaker or an instructor to many meetings organized by the Society of Turkish Anesthesiology & Reanimation in addition to international world congresses, meetings or forums. I have been the Associate Editor of Turkish Journal of Medical Sciences since 2010. I have authored or co-authored over 45 articles indexed in pubmed in addition to over than 65 published articles in national peer-reviewed journals. I translated the website www.painfreebirthing.com/turkishindex.htm and the “Easy Labor” book into Turkish. I have been the coeditor of translating Clinical Anesthesia Textbook written by Barash, Cullen, Stoelting, Cahalan and Stock into Turkish as well in 2012. She has written chapters for Turkish Textbooks of Anesthesia. I have been tutor for problem based learning discussions and for rational pharmacotherapy education in the School of Medicine of Gazi University.
