Mr. Wahid Bakar Hamad is currently Acting Head of Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) Unit at Institute of Social Work (ISW), Dar es Salaam. Tanzania. He holds a BSc degree in Information Technology, Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Institute of Finance Management and MSc in Information System from Kampala International University – Dar es Salaam campus. He is an Assistant lecturer and researcher in the broader area of
Information Technology with emphasis on technology-enhanced learning, Technology adoption, and Digital Literacy.
Before joining ISW, he worked at Kampala International University – Dar es Salaam campus as Department Administrator and Teaching Assistant for five years. Since 2012 he has supervised a number of research projects for students at undergraduate in a diversity of research topics. He was appointed the Acting Head of Information and Communication Technology, Student Information System Administrator (2016 – To date), and Undergraduate Coordinator (2017). He is working with Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCo) as a Part-Timer. He has published research papers in international journals. He has been making extensive contributions to the
academic as well as professional communities, such as delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops; participating in the moderation team for the ICT module for National Examination Council, and reviewing international journal articles.
