Acarological Studies (AS) is a fully open access journal operating under the diamond open access model: all papers are freely and immediately available to readers without subscription or access fees, and no APCs or publication fees are required from authors. All published papers can be freely accessed, read, downloaded, saved, copied, printed, shared, transferred to catalogues and cited.

AS is a party to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI20). The BOAI20 recommendations are available through the official Budapest Open Access Initiative website.

All papers published in AS are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license permits sharing of the published work with appropriate attribution, while commercial use and distribution of modified versions are not permitted under the terms of the license.
