Archival Repository

Acarological Studies (AS) uses LOCKSS system in order to create a distributed archiving network among the participating libraries, providing a basis for permanent preservation and restoration of archived content. LOCKSS is an open-source, library-led digital preservation system built on the principle that “lots of copies keep stuff safe”.

AS allows the submitted, accepted and published versions of papers to be deposited without embargo. All versions are deposited on the journal's own platform (DergiPark), and the journal encourages depositing the published version in external instutional or subject repositories. Persistent identifiers (DOIs) are assigned to all published papers, with the exception of a few early issues.

Details of the archiving rights granted to authors by AS can be found in Jisc (formerly Sherpa RoMEO).
