The Journal of German Language and Culture Studies (ALKAD) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that started its publication in 2019. It is published biannually in June and December. The journal aims to present scholarly works focused on the German language and culture to the academic world, subjecting them to scientific standards and evaluation criteria. Studies from other philologies may also be included, provided that they do not exceed twenty percent of the total number of articles published in a given issue.

The journal features theoretical and/or applied works in the fields of literary studies, linguistics, cultural studies, translation studies, and language teaching, all centered on German language and culture. The journal accepts articles in Turkish, German, and English.
