Abstracting/Indexing Services:
Our journal's Abstracting/Indexing services store essential information about articles. In addition, some of our journals’ Abstracting/Indexing services archive metadata about the article and electronic versions of the articles. In this way, copies of articles are presented to the scientific community through these systems as an alternative to journals.
Author Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their articles on personal and institutional websites after publication (while providing full bibliographic details and a link to the original publication).

In the discipline encompassing the science of food, our journal only publishes novel and high-quality original research papers centered on basic and applied research topics in food science, food chemistry, and food microbiology and biotechnology. Articles regarding the topics of food engineering and nutrition are out of scope.
The Journal of Agricultural Sciences is abstracted and/or indexed in: Science Citation Index Expanded, Scopus, CAB Abstracts, CAB International, EBSCO and TUBITAK-TRDizin.
Please check the fee (EPC/APC) policy before submitting an article.

Names of journals should be in full titles rather than the abbreviations. Avoid using citations of abstract proceedings. The following examples are for guidance.

Tables and Figures:
Tables and Figures should be numbered consecutively and accompanied by a title above the table or figure. All tables and figures should not exceed 16x20 cm in size. Figures should have a high resolution, minimum 600 dpi in tiff/png format. Avoid using vertical lines in tables.

Units:
Units of measurement should all be in SI units. Use a period in decimal fractions (1.24 rather than 1,24). Units should have a single space between the number and the unit (4 kg/ha, 20 N m, 100 kPa, 22 °C). The only exceptions are for angular definitions, minutes, seconds, and percentage; do not include a space (10°, 45’, 60’’, 29%). The abbreviation of litre is “L”.
Formulas and Equations:
Number each formula with the reference number placed in parentheses at the end. Use Word mathematical processor for formulas with 12pt., variances in Italics, numbers and mathematical definitions in plain text. If needed, refer as “Equation 1” in the text (….the model, as given in Equation 1).
The Journal of Agricultural Science - Tarım Bilimleri Dergisi is a journal that is committed to science and publishing ethics.
Peer Review
The manuscripts sent to the Journal of Agricultural Sciences (JAS) are firstly evaluated by the editor. The editor checks up every manuscript, whether they are worth evaluating or not and assigns a section editor for each. If the editor and the section editor find the manuscript worth evaluating, they send it to at least two independent reviewers for evaluation for a double-blind peer-review. The manuscript is not evaluated if it does not require the evaluation of the reviewer because it has no scientific value and is not original, or it does not fit the reader population. The section editor reviews the reviewer's evaluations and makes a recommendation to the Editor. The final decision about the article is made by the Editor.
Research and Publication Ethics
The journal attaches great importance to the ethics of scientific publication, and in this respect, "Publication Ethics", within the framework of Transparency in Academic Publishing and Best Practice Principles determined by organizations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE: Committee on Publication Ethics) and the Open Access Journals Directory (DOAJ), It acts in accordance with the rules and ethical standards regarding "Research Ethics" and "Legal/Special Permission Obtaining".

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
All sources of financial support should be disclosed. All authors should disclose if a meaningful conflict of interest exists in the process of forming their study. Any financial grants or other support received for a submitted study from individuals or institutions should be disclosed to the Editorial Board of the Turkish Archives of Otorhinolaryngology. The ICMJE Potential Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form should be filled in and submitted by all contributing authors to disclose a potential conflict of interest. The journal's Editorial Board determines cases of a potential conflict of interest of the editors, authors, or reviewers within the scope of COPE and ICMJE guidelines.
Conditions that provide financial or personal benefit bring about a conflict of interest. The reliability of the scientific process and the published articles is directly related to the objective consideration of conflicts of interest during the planning, implementation, writing, evaluation, editing, and publication of scientific studies.
Financial relations are the most easily identified conflicts of interest, and it is inevitable that they will undermine the credibility of the journal, the authors, and the science. These conflicts can be caused by individual relations, academic competition, or intellectual approaches. The authors should refrain as much as possible from making agreements with sponsors in the opinion of gaining profit or any other advantage that restrict their ability to access all data of the study or analyze, interpret, prepare, and publish their articles. Editors should refrain from bringing together those who may have any relationship between them during the evaluation of the studies. The editors, who make the final decision about the articles, should not have any personal, professional, or financial ties with any of the issues they are going to decide. Authors should inform the editorial board concerning potential conflicts of interest to ensure that their articles will be evaluated within the framework of ethical principles through an independent assessment process.
Our publication team works devotedly to ensure that the evaluation process is conducted impartially, considering all these situations.
Plagiarism and Ethical Misconduct
The Journal of Agricultural Sciences (JAS) uses plagiarism screening service iThenticate to verify the originality of content submitted before publication.
Plagiarism: To republish whole or part of a content in another author's publication without attribution.
Fabrication: To publish data and findings/results that do not exist.
Duplication: Using data from another publication; this includes republishing an article in different languages.
Salamisation: Creating multiple publications by abnormally splitting the results of a study.
Data Manipulation/Falsification: Manipulating or deliberately distorting research data to give a false impression.
We disapprove of such unethical practices and efforts to influence the review process with such practices as gifting authorship, inappropriate acknowledgements, and references in line with the COPE flowcharts.
Appeals and Complaints
Appeal and complaint cases are handled within the scope of COPE guidelines by the Editorial Board of the journal. Appeals should be based on the scientific content of the manuscript. The final decision on the appeal and complaint is made by Editor-in-Chief.
