Review
The aim of the journal is to deal with original and comprehensive studies in the field of social and human sciences with a scientific approach.
The publication topics of the journal are within the scope of social and human issues and cover sub-topics such as management-organization, accounting, finance, production management, numerical methods, marketing, economics, law, tourism, education, linguistics, psychology and history et al.
GUIDE FOR AUTHORS
1. Journal of Social Sciences is published biannualy by Çağ University and is a peer-reviewed journal.
2. It is obligation that the article which will be sent mustn’t be published in anywhere before.
3. Articles can be published in the following languages: Turkish and English.
4. Articles must be written on MS word and submitted anonymously via Dergipark.
5. The manuscript should not exceed 25 pages including references and appendices.
Page layout: 2,5 cm from above, 2,5 cm from below, 2,5 cm from left, 2,5 cm in from right.
And also they have to be written on A4 pages.
Articles have to be written in Times New Roman with 11 point.
It must be set as single spaced.
6. In original articles, section must be arranged in the way shown below:
Abstract (maximum 200 words)
Abstract in Turkish (maximum 200 words)
Introduction, Conceptual Framework (Literature), Methodology, Findings, Discussion and the Conclusion, References.
7. The title of the articles should be fit with the content; they should be short and understandable, written with capital letters, 14 pt. and centered.
8. The name of the author should be written below the article; Under the name of the writers, their universities the university, faculty, department or institution name, e-mail address and ORCID should be written. If there is more than one writer, the names should be written down by down, faculties, sections name and an e-mail address and ORCID have to be written.
9. The Abstract title should be capitalized with the left edge of the text. The text should be 11 pt. Keywords should be between 3-5 words and GEL Codes should be added under the keywords.
10. In an article, pictures, graphics have to be shown under the name of the “Figure”. Figures and graphics have to be numbered and the name of the figures have to be written below the figure and first letter will be capital in every word.
11. In an article, name of the table should be written with the way first letter will be capital every word and every table have to be numbered.
12. Citations or references to the sources have to written in the parentheses in the article. The surname of the writer, the year of the source and the number of the page have to become left side by side (Smith, 2003: 14). If there are multiple sources, it should be separeted by semicolon (Aaker, 1991; Porter, 2008; Kotler, 2012). If there are more than two writers, it should be shortened like “et. al.” (Harris et. al., 2001: 112).
13. Source lists have to be arranged as the surname of the writers alphabetically.
The book should be arranged as: author surname, initial letter of the name, publication date of the book, the name of the book, publishing house and should be arranged as the publishing place.

14. Those articles, not written according to the above mentioned rules, will be returned to the author(s).
Blind peer-review system is applied in the evaluation of the studies submitted to Çağ University Journal of Social Sciences. Scientific studies uploaded through Dergipark are firstly subject to editorial approval. Two referees, who are appointed in accordance with their fields, are requested to evaluate the works approved by the editor. At the end of the evaluation process, the study can be accepted or rejected. If, during the peer-review process, one reviewer recommends rejection while another recommends acceptance with minor or major revisions, the manuscript is referred to a third reviewer for further evaluation.

PUBLICATION ETHICS OF THE JOURNAL
Çağ University Journal of Social Sciences adheres to the ethical principles, recommendations, and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) throughout its publication process.
1. Non-Discrimination
The authority to decide which manuscripts will be published rests with the Editorial Board. In evaluating manuscripts, the Editorial Board must act without discrimination based on authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political views. Publication decisions are based on the manuscript’s accuracy, validity, scientific significance, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism are also taken into consideration.
2. Confidentiality
The editor and members of the Editorial Board must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher. Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript may not be used by the editor or members of the Editorial Board in their own research without the author’s explicit written consent.
3. Authorship / Ownership of Work
If the editor or any member of the Editorial Board suspects incomplete authorship or the inclusion of individuals who did not make a legitimate contribution to the work (guest or honorary authorship), appropriate action must be taken in accordance with COPE and ICMJE recommendations and guidelines.
4. Conflict of Interest
The editor or members of the Editorial Board must act in accordance with COPE guidelines whenever there is a suspicion of a conflict of interest related to published or unpublished manuscripts.
5. Originality and Plagiarism
Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original works of the author(s). The use of others’ published or unpublished works or ideas without proper citation (plagiarism) is not acceptable. In cases where plagiarism is identified, the editor or members of the Editorial Board will take appropriate action in line with COPE guidelines, depending on the severity of the plagiarism.
PUBLICATION POLICY OF THE JOURNAL
Manuscripts submitted to the journal through the DergiPark system undergo a preliminary editorial review and internal evaluation conducted by the Editor-in-Chief, editors, and associate editors. At this stage, manuscripts are assessed for compliance with the journal’s aims and scope, publication ethics and principles, adherence to author guidelines, and overall adequacy within the journal’s publication standards.
At the final stage of the preliminary review, the opinion of the relevant Section Editor is obtained. Based on the Section Editor’s detailed evaluation, a decision is made as to whether the manuscript is suitable for external peer review.
The external peer-review process follows the double-blind review principle (anonymous author – anonymous reviewer). Manuscripts are sent to at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field. If the reviewers’ evaluations differ, a third reviewer is consulted. The final publication decision is made by the editor.
General Publication Principles
Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously rejected by CAGSBD, must not have undergone peer review elsewhere, must not have been published in any form, and must not be under evaluation by another journal.
Submissions are accepted not only from academics but also from researchers and practitioners.
More than one manuscript by the same author cannot be evaluated simultaneously. Manuscripts submitted in violation of this rule will be directly rejected at the preliminary evaluation stage.
In a single issue, the number of articles authored by individuals affiliated with the same university or institution may not exceed 25% of the total number of published articles. If the calculation results in a decimal number, it is rounded up to the nearest whole number.
Members of the CAGSBD Editorial Board (Editor-in-Chief, editors, associate editors, and section editors) may submit their scholarly work to the journal. In such cases, full editorial responsibility and the peer-review process for the manuscript are conducted impartially and independently by another member of the Editorial Board in accordance with the journal’s evaluation procedures.
The languages of publication are Turkish and English.
All submitted manuscripts must fully comply with the journal’s author guidelines.
Authors must prepare manuscripts submitted for publication in accordance with research and publication ethics. For studies involving data collection from human participants (e.g., surveys, interviews), ethical committee approval must be obtained; this approval must be stated in the manuscript and documented. Permission must also be obtained for the use of scales, questionnaires, photographs, or visuals belonging to others, and such permissions must be clearly indicated in the manuscript.
Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s aims, scope, publication policy, or author guidelines; that require extensive revision; or that fail to pass the Section Editor’s evaluation will be directly rejected at the preliminary review stage.
No royalties or publication fees are paid for articles published in the journal.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy
In the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, authors must act in accordance with the ethical principles set forth by COPE. Content generated by AI tools—including text, analyses, images, or other materials—cannot be considered as author contributions. AI technologies may only be used as supportive tools; full responsibility for the scientific content, evaluation, and conclusions of the study rests entirely with the authors. If AI technologies are used, this must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript.
