Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Journal of The Institute of Educational Sciences (MAKÜ-EBED) is a national, peer-reviewed scientific journal that contributes to knowledge in educational sciences, subject-specific education, and teacher training and promotes scholarly exchange among education stakeholders.

The journal accepts only original Research Articles and scholarly Review Articles within these fields. MAKÜ-EBED follows an online continuous publication model; accepted articles are published in the relevant issue as soon as their editorial and production processes are completed, without waiting for a scheduled issue date.

The journal publishes in Turkish and English. For manuscripts in Turkish, an extended abstract in English is required; for manuscripts in English, an extended abstract in Turkish is required.

Any special issue is subject to the same accepted article types, editorial standards, double-anonymous peer-review process, ethical principles, and publication policies as regular issues.

The journal is published online under a continuous publication model, and accepted articles are made available online as soon as the publication process is completed. All articles are offered as open access.
