For articles published on or after 1 January 2027, copyright is retained by the author(s). Authors are not required to transfer copyright to the Aegean Geographical Journal (Ege Coğrafya Dergisi).

By agreeing to the publication of their articles in the Aegean Geographical Journal, authors grant the journal the right of first publication. The Aegean Geographical Journal has the right to publish accepted articles and make them permanently available electronically.

Authors may share their published works on personal or institutional websites, institutional repositories, and academic platforms, and may reuse them for educational and scholarly purposes, provided that such uses comply with the applicable license terms.

Authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions for the use and publication of any text, maps, graphs, figures, photographs, satellite images, or other materials in their articles for which copyright is held by third parties. Authors are also responsible for properly acknowledging the sources and indicating the applicable copyright and licensing information for such materials.

The terms governing the reuse of articles published in the Aegean Geographical Journal are set out in the journal's Open Access and Licensing Policy. Articles published on or after 1 January 2027, unless otherwise stated, are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

By submitting their manuscripts for publication and, following acceptance, approving their publication, authors agree to the terms of the journal's Copyright and Publication License Declaration.
