Plagiarism Screening Procedures

The articles sent to Gazi Türkiyat journal to be published are firstly scanned by plagiarism programs. Studies whose plagiarism rate is above 25% and do not comply with the journal's publication principles and scientific publication criteria are returned to the author before the evaluation process begins. If the similarity report is higher than 20%, the article:
1- May be sent to the author for editing by the editor.
2- May be rejected by the editor.
3- May be sent to the editorial board for evaluation.
All articles sent to Gazi Türkiyat journal as of 20.02.2024 are subjected to a similarity report according to the guidance of the system, in line with DergiPark's agreement with Intihalnet, before being submitted for referee evaluation.
The upper limit of similarity rate for Gazi Türkiyat journal is 20%.
Other sources such as Turnitin and Ithenticate literature review can also be used if deemed necessary for articles sent to Gazi Türkiyat journal. 20% is not a benchmark for editors. They reserve the right to reject the article and/or request corrections if they see even the slightest problem.
