Plagiarism Screening Procedures
Articles sent to Gazi Türkiyat for publication are first scanned using plagiarism programs. Articles with a plagiarism rate exceeding 25% and that do not comply with the journal's publication principles and scientific publication criteria are returned to the author before the evaluation process begins. If the similarity report is >20%, the article:
1-Can be sent to the editor for editing.
2-Can be rejected by the editor.
3-Can be submitted to the editorial board for evaluation.
All articles submitted to Gazi Türkiyat since 20.02.2024 are subject to a similarity report according to the system’s guidance in accordance with DergiPark’s agreement with İntihalnet before being submitted for peer review.
The upper limit on the similarity rate for Gazi Türkiyat is 20%.
Other sources, such as Turnitin and Ithenticate literature review, can also be used for articles sent to Gazi Türkiyat if deemed necessary. A 20% threshold is not a criterion for editors. They reserve the right to reject the article and/or request correction if they see the slightest problem.
