Article Evaluation And Publication Processes

• Articles sent to the journal are first evaluated to determine whether the information required to be entered into the DergiPark system, the article file, the copyright transfer form and the similarity report are present and whether they comply with the Journal's Article Publication Principles and Writing Rules, and applications that are not found appropriate are rejected.
• Applications that are found appropriate are examined by the editors and the editorial board in terms of their scope, journal policy, writing rules, original contribution to the field, and scientific narrative during the preliminary evaluation phase.
• If the studies meet the preliminary evaluation criteria, they are sent to two referees. If the two referees express opposing opinions, a third referee is consulted.
• The identities of the referees and authors are kept confidential during this process in accordance with the double-blind refereeing policy. The evaluation period given to the referees is 15 days from the date the referee accepts the evaluation.
• Referees can review the corrections of a study and decide on its appropriateness, or they can request corrections more than once if necessary.
• Referee reports are sent to the authors of the articles whose referee evaluation has been completed by processing them through the DergiPark system. In case of a request for correction, the corrected article and the correction report must be uploaded to the system within 7 days from the date the referee reports are sent to the author.
• Authors review their articles by taking into account the criticisms and suggestions of the Editorial Board and referees. Authors who have objections on this issue can prepare a report with their reasons and submit it to the Editorial Board.
• The editors and the Editorial Board decide whether the article will be published or not in line with the referee reports. Articles deemed suitable for publication are taken to the typesetting stage, and articles deemed unsuitable for publication are rejected.
• The scientific responsibility of the articles in the journal belongs to the author. All copyrights of the article after publication in the journal belong to Gazi Türkiyat Journal. No royalty fee is paid to the authors of published studies. Articles published in the journal cannot be published or reproduced elsewhere without the approval of Gazi Türkiyat Journal.
