Writers' Guide

Gazi Türkiyat Magazine carries out a meticulous and transparent editorial process. Articles sent for publication are examined by two independent referees after the preliminary evaluation carried out by the Editorial Board, and the publication process is initiated in line with the referee reports.
• The originality of the articles to be sent to the journal, the use of scientific citations and all kinds of responsibilities that may arise regarding ethical rules belong to the author(s). In this context, the author(s) must declare that the articles they send to the journal have not been published anywhere before or have not been evaluated for publication.
• The author(s) are also responsible for checking the article with one of the plagiarism prevention software programs Turnitin or iThenticate and sending the similarity report to the journal in the article application. Articles with a similarity rate of 20% and above will not be evaluated. Articles are subject to plagiarism check (Turnitin or iThenticate) if deemed necessary by the editor.
• The views and thoughts expressed in the articles in the journal are binding on their author(s) and do not reflect the views of our journal; all scientific and legal responsibilities of the articles belong to the author(s).
• Copyrighted materials such as photographs, tables, figures or other contributing quotations to be included in the articles in the journal can only be published with valid permission and copyright approval.
• It is the author(s)'s responsibility to include the author(s)'s author name, title, institution, e-mail address and ORCID information/information in the study in accordance with the journal's publication principles and to ensure that the information is accurate and belongs to the relevant author(s).
• If the journal requests raw data from the author(s) regarding their articles within the framework of the evaluation processes, the author(s) are obliged to present the expected data and information to the editorial board and scientific board. Author(s) who detect a significant scientific error or inappropriateness in their published article are also obliged to contact the editorial board as quickly as possible in order to withdraw the article or correct the error.
• Authors are responsible for complying with the criteria for Actions Contrary to Scientific Research and Publication Ethics in Article 4 of the Interuniversity Board Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive http://www.uak.gov.tr/yonetmelikler/Yay%C4%B1nEti%C4%9FiY%C3%B6nergesi_140318.pdf.

• Articles produced from postgraduate theses may be published at Gazi Türkiyat, but this must be clearly stated in the article. Such articles will be ranked according to the end of the refereeing process and the date of the publication decision, and a maximum of two articles will be published in an issue. Articles produced from postgraduate theses but do not clearly state this will be removed from the publication queue when noticed.
• A maximum of two works by the same author can be included in an issue.
• Articles must comply with the journal's spelling and punctuation rules and publication principles (except for field-specific spellings). The author must fulfill the correction suggestions specified by the referees or the publication board. The Editorial Board has the right to make any changes to the submitted article in terms of form.
• Responsibilities of articles that do not comply with the rules and principles in question belong to the author(s). The Journal Editorial Board has the right to "reject" articles that do not comply with the relevant rules and principles without putting them through the "referee evaluation process".
• Articles that have completed the referee process after the typesetting work has started are left for the next issue.
