Born in 1993 in Şanlıurfa, Demirkol completed his secondary education at Bozova Imam-Hatip High School. He graduated from the Faculty of Theology at Iğdır University in 2015 and completed his master's thesis titled “An Analysis of Sūrat al-Naṣr in Light of Classical Tafsirs” in 2017 at the Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Basic Islamic Sciences of the same university. In 2022, he received his PhD from Atatürk University, Institute of Social Sciences, with a dissertation titled “The Conceptual Framework and vii Foundations of the Idea of Unity According to the Qur’an.” He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Tafsir within the Basic Islamic Sciences Division at the Faculty of Theology, Iğdır University. Demirkol teaches courses on Qur’anic sciences, tafsir, and textual analysis of Turkish translations of the Qur’an at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He has published various articles in the fields of Qur’anic studies and tafsir and has presented papers at national and international academic conferences. His scholarly work mainly focuses on conceptual analyses, semantic approaches, contemporary issues in tafsir, and theoretical developments within the tafsir tradition. In recent years, he has also been conducting research at the intersection of Qur’anic studies and artificial intelligence, contributing to scholarly discussions on digital reading practices in tafsir, the epistemic limits of AI-assisted interpretation, and hybrid tafsir methodologies. Demirkol, who is married and proficient in Arabic, has academic interests that include the concept of unity in the Qur’an, the tafsir tradition, conceptual analysis, semantic methods, and the relationship between
the Qur’an and artificial intelligence.

Bünyamin Arvasi completed his M.A. in the Department of Basic Islamic Sciences (Arabic Language and Rhetoric) at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Theology, in 2017. He received his Ph.D. from the same department at Iğdır University in 2024. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Theology, Iğdır University.

Born in 1994 in the Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı, Musa Gül completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown. Gül graduated from Iğdır Anadolu Imam-Hatip High School and graduated from Iğdır University Faculty of Theology in 2018. In the same year, he was appointed as an Imam Hatip in the Kurucaşile district of Bartın; in 2019, his place of work was transferred to Doğubayazıt.
Gül began his master's degree in Arabic Language and Rhetoric at the Faculty of Theology at Iğdır University in the same year and completed his master's degree in 2022 with a thesis titled “Evaluation of Hal Sentences from the Perspective of the Science of Meaning.”
Musa Gül began his doctoral studies in 2023 at Atatürk University in Erzurum, Faculty of Theology, Department of Quranic Sciences, and his doctoral process is ongoing. In 2025, he was accepted to the Izmir Religious Specialization Center and continues his active education there.

Prof., Dr. R.S. Abdullayeva currently works as a department head at the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a professor at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (with 0.5 staff units). She is the author of more than 175 scientific works (including 3 individual, 13 collective monographs, 1 textbook) published in Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish, English, Chinese. Her scientific works have been published in prestigious international scientific databases (SCOPUS, Dergipark, IDOSI, etc.). Her scientific works have been published in Turkey, the United States of America, Malta, Great Britain, Hungary, the UAE, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine and other countries. She has delivered reports at 40 local and international scientific conferences. 4 dissertations have been defended under the leadership of R.S. Abdullayeva. She conducts scientific research on the state regulation of the social protection system, labor market, healthcare system, ensuring social security, repatriation of internally displaced persons, etc. The results of his research were used in the Ministry of Economy, the Central Bank, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, and the State Statistical Committee. He has more than 20 years of scientific and pedagogical experience. He is the chairman of the Public Union of Economists of Turkic-Speaking States. In 2006, he was awarded the "Young Scientist of the Year" award by the Ministry of Youth and Sports for his achievements in the field of science.

He was born in 1981 in Genç district of Bingöl. He graduated from the Imam Hatip High School in the same district in 1997. In 2008, he completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Theology, Ankara University. He began his career at the Presidency of Religious Affairs in 2002 as an imam-hatip, and continued to serve in the positions of muezzin and preacher until 2022. He received his Master’s degree in 2012 in the field of Qur’anic Recitation (Qirāʾāt) at the Department of Basic Islamic Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, Atatürk University, and completed his Ph.D. in the same field and institute in 2021. In 2022, he was appointed as Assistant Professor (Dr. Öğr. Üyesi) at the Faculty of Theology, Bingöl University.
He was born in 1982 in Erciş district of Van. He completed his primary and secondary education in the same district. He completed his high school education at İzmir-Bayındır Imam Hatip High School in 1999-2000. He graduated from Al-Azhar University in 2009. He worked as an imam for the Presidency of Religious Affairs for about a year. He worked as a research assistant at Iğdır University Faculty of Theology (2013-2023). Since 2023, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at Bitlis Eren University Faculty of Theology. He is married and has two children.

Prof. Dr. Emine Öztürk, a faculty member at the Faculty of Theology of Kafkas University, is an academic who has built her scholarly career upon intellectual curiosity, disciplined research, and a commitment to providing guidance to society. After completing her undergraduate education, she pursued master’s and doctoral studies in accordance with her interest in scholarly research. During this period, she conducted studies that sought to combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications, particularly within her field of specialization. The research perspective she developed during her doctoral studies subsequently formed the foundation of her academic work in the following years.
Öztürk began her academic career as a faculty member in the field of Sociology of Religion and soon distinguished herself through her active involvement in both teaching and research. In the courses she has taught at undergraduate and graduate levels, she has adopted a student-centered educational approach that encourages critical inquiry and emphasizes the principles of academic ethics. The success of her students in their academic and professional careers has been an important reflection of this educational approach.
In her research, Öztürk examines the relationship between religion, society, and culture from both historical and contemporary perspectives. She has produced numerous scholarly articles, book chapters, and conference papers published in national and international journals and academic platforms. Adopting an interdisciplinary perspective in her research, she has developed collaborations with scholars from different fields and contributed to the transfer of academic knowledge into practice through the projects she has undertaken. She has served as both a project coordinator and researcher in various scholarly projects, aiming to ensure that the findings contribute not only to the academic community but also to broader social benefit.
Within the university, Öztürk has undertaken various administrative responsibilities at both departmental and faculty levels. She has played an active role in the development of academic structures, the updating of educational programs, and the strengthening of research culture. She has also served as a peer reviewer and editor for academic journals, contributing to scholarly evaluation and publication processes.
In addition to her scholarly work, Prof. Dr. Emine Öztürk is an advocate of academic ethics, critical thinking, and a scholarly approach that places social realities at the center of academic inquiry. Professor Dr. Asyraf Isyraqi bin Jamil is the Deputy Rector of Research and Global Networking and a Professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (UniSIRAJ), Malaysia. He holds a PhD in Islamic Studies from the University of Malaya, following undergraduate degrees in Da'wah and Usuluddin from the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and in Islamic Shariah from Al-Azhar University, Egypt.
With over 15 years of experience in higher education and academic leadership, he previously served as Head of the Islamic Education Programme at the University of Malaya, where he contributed significantly to curriculum development and programme innovation. His research interests span Islamic education, Hadith studies, interfaith education, and the development of Islamic educational institutions. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science and has supervised numerous Master’s and PhD candidates. He is also involved in various national and international research projects funded by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and other institutions.
Professor Dr. Asyraf has completed research fellowships at several leading institutions worldwide, including Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center in Uzbekistan, King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, Sakarya University in Türkiye, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the United States, and the World Islamic Sciences and Education University in Jordan. He currently serves as a member of the International Advisory Board at the Faculty of Theology, Sakarya University, Türkiye, and sits on the editorial boards of several international journals in the field of Islamic education. Recognized as a global expert, he is regularly invited to speak at international conferences, particularly on the future of Islamic education and its integration within the modern world.
Prof Raihani works at UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, a state Islamic university in Indonesia. He completed his bachelor degree at State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN), and obtained his Master and PhD in education at The University of Melbourne, Australia. He has conducted a number of research projects both in Indonesia and overseas on the topics of Islamic education, citizenship education, multicultural education, madrasah and pesantren, school leadership and so forth in the field of education. He has awarded awards and fellowships such as ARC Discovery fellowship, Endeavor Research Fellowship, Fulbright Fellowship and so forth. His works appear in both national and international publication outlets.

Since October 2017 he has been serving at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as a Special Teaching Staff.

He has published 78 articles in journals. His published work deals with issues of sociology of education, political sociology and pedagogy.

My academic background includes BA, MA, and PhD degrees from the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, where I specialized in Anglophone literature and literary theory, with doctoral research focused on the representation of female characters in the works of Margaret Atwood.
I currently hold the position of Associate Professor at Sinergija University (Bosnia and Herzegovina) while remaining actively engaged in the broader Belgrade academic and research community.
I am the author or co-author of over 60 scientific publications, including papers published in international journals and conference proceedings, and two university coursebooks in English literature. My recent research particularly focuses on educational chatbots, AI-supported literary analysis, English-medium instruction, and the responsible integration of artificial intelligence into language and literature teaching.
I am also the author and coordinator of the interdisciplinary scientific program Limitations and Possibilities: Artificial Intelligence in Education, Culture and Society (Belgrade Youth Center, Feb - Oct 2026), which brings together university professors, researchers, and industry experts to examine the role of AI in education, culture, and society. The program includes a multi-month expert lecture series followed by expert panels and an international scientific conference dedicated to interdisciplinary AI research (14-15 November, 2026).

Köln Üniversitesi'nde sosyoloji, ortaçağ ve modern tarih, eğitim ve İslam bilimleri, Eskişehir Anadolu Üniversitesi'nde (Türkiye) ise İslam teolojisi eğitimi almıştır. "Etnik Ekonomi" alanında doktora derecesini almıştır. Bursa (Türkiye) ve Osnabrück (Almanya) üniversitelerinde araştırma görevlisi olarak çalışmıştır. 2012-2015 yılları arasında Tübingen Üniversitesi İslam İlahiyatı Merkezi'nde İslam Dini Eğitimi kürsüsünde görev yapmıştır. Viyana'daki İslam Dini Eğitim Akademisi'nde (IRPA) öğretim görevlisi olarak çalışmıştır. Lisede tarih ve yurttaşlık bilgisi alanında uzman öğretmendir.
My academic journey in Social Work began at Pondicherry University in 2009, where I have consistently pursued teaching, research, fieldwork, research guidance, and administration. My research interests are deeply rooted in real-world issues, informed by my field experiences and collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Over the years, I have developed a strong focus on aging populations, sustainable livelihoods, and innovative social work practices that empower communities and foster inclusive development. My work in gerontology addresses the complexities of aging in the Indian context, exploring the psychosocial, economic, and policy dimensions of elderly care. In parallel, my engagement in livelihood promotion and social entrepreneurship reflects a commitment to building self-reliant and resilient communities through capacity building and sustainable economic models. I have had the privilege of collaborating with several prestigious international and national agencies. At the national level, I have worked with key ministries, including the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) offering my expertise in research, policy planning, and field implementation. Additionally, I have contributed to state-level initiatives in Puducherry, collaborating with the Directorate of Social Welfare and the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA). These partnerships have involved research, training and capacity building, impact assessment, and community-based interventions. In both academic and applied settings, I am committed to evidence-based practice, participatory research, and community engagement. I believe in the transformative potential of Social Work education and strive to mentor students and young professionals, helping them become socially responsible and ethically grounded change-makers. My academic pursuits are complemented by a strong publication record, training modules, and field manuals, all aimed at bridging the gap between theory and practice. I continue to seek opportunities that allow me to contribute to inclusive policy development, effective program implementation, and the advancement of social work as a dynamic and impactful profession. Belediyeler ve Sivil Toplum Örgütlerinde yerel yönetim, yerel kalkınma, etkin belediye yönetimi, girişimcilik gibi konularda seminerler verdi, pek çok kez yerel ve genel siyaset üzerine TV ve radyo programlarında görüşlerini kamuoyuyla paylaştı. Born in 1989 in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa, Kalgı completed his primary education in Yumrutepe Village and his secondary and high school education in Siverek. He graduated from the Department of Primary School Teaching at the Faculty of Education of Kilis 7 Aralık University in 2011. Between 2011 and 2016, Kalgı worked as a teacher in various schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, and between 2016 and 2022, he served as a school administrator in different institutions.
In 2014, Kalgı completed his master’s degree in classroom education with his thesis titled “An Examination of the Relationship Between Self-Esteem Levels and Vandalistic Behavior Levels of 9th Grade Students (The Case of Şanlıurfa Province)”. In 2020, he earned his PhD in the Department of Psychology of Religion at Çukurova University with his dissertation “A Study on the Relationship Between Religiosity and Personality Among Secondary Education Students (The Case of Şanlıurfa)”.
Appointed in 2022 as a faculty member to the Department of Psychology of Religion at the Faculty of Theology, Ardahan University, Kalgı received the title of Associate Professor in 2023 and continues his academic career in the same department.
Kalgı is the author of two books: Religiosity and Personality: A Study on Adolescents (2021) and The Phenomenon of Religious Conversion: A Psycho-Social Study on Individuals Converting from Islam to Christianity (2023). In addition, he has published numerous articles and conference papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals in the field of psychology of religion.
Alongside his academic work, Kalgı earned his second bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Law at Dicle University in 2021 and began his second master’s program in public law at Atatürk University in 2025. Moreover, within the scope of his TÜBİTAK project, he conducted academic research in 2025 at Indiana University Bloomington, United States.
He is married to Fidan Gürez Kalgı and speaks English and Persian as foreign languages.

I am passionate about being a social scientist! My PhD thesis focuses on challenges faced by nurses in the health sector through the lens of gender that would ultimately improve the quality of services to the general public. Besides, my educational background has diversity from health to social sciences, but my majors are in the field of gender studies. I have earned distinctions in both sciences. Regarding research, I have won international research awards while presenting my PhD research work in different conferences at the international and national levels. Furthermore, I have worked as a research assistant at Boston University, USA. I have teaching and ORIC coordinator experience at UOL as well as PUCIT.
Maribel Fierro is Research Professor at the Institute for the Languages and Cultures of the Mediterranean - Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). PhD Universidad Complutense Madrid 1985. She has published on the political and intellectual history of the pre-modern Islamic West (al-Andalus and North Africa), on Islamic law and on the representation of violence in Islamic societies. Among her books: ¿Qué sabemos de … al-Andalus? (2024), ʽAbd al-Muʼmin. Mahdism and caliphate in the Islamic West (2021), ʽAbd al-Rahman III, the first Cordoban caliph (2005), The Almohad revolution (2012) and Al-Andalus: saberes e intercambios culturales (2001; translated into French and Arabic). She has edited The Routledge Handbook on Muslim Iberia (2020). Orthodoxy and heresy in Islam: Critical Concepts in Religious Studies (2013) and The Western Islamic world, eleventh-eighteenth centuries, vol. II of The New Cambridge History of Islam (2010); with Sonja Brentjes and Tilman Seidensticker, Rulers as authors in Islamic societies (2024); with Mayte Penelas, The Maghrib in the Mashriq. Knowledge, travel and identity (2021) and with Christian Lange Public violence in Islamic societies: Power, discipline and the construction of the public sphere (7th-19th centuries CE) (2009). She has held visiting positions at the universities of Chicago, Hamburg, Leiden, Exeter, Paris-1, Toulouse and EHESS (Paris). Her work has been supported by Spanish Ministry of Education, the European Research Council and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
S.I. Humayun is currently working as a Professor at the Centre for South Asian Studies, UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institute of South Asia Regional Cooperation, Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India. He completed his postgraduate and Doctoral Degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies, University of Madras, Chennai, India. His teaching interests are peace and conflict studies, regional cooperation, maritime security issues, and environmental politics. During his doctoral research, he was selected to attend the prestigious Summer Workshop organised by the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies, Colombo, Sri Lanka on the theme of “Defence, Technology and Cooperative Security in South Asia”. Having sixteen years of experience in research and teaching in security studies, he has published around fifteen papers and guided thirty postgraduate theses and five doctoral scholars on various themes of South Asian politics. He is a member of the Board of Studies for Defence and Strategic Studies of various universities.
