Articles must be prepared in Word (.docx) format using the journal template. Submissions that do not follow the template will be returned to the author at the initial screening stage.
Submissions may be made in Turkish, Arabic, or English.
Submitted work must not have been previously published or be under review by another journal. For studies derived from a thesis or a conference paper, this must be indicated in a footnote on the first page.
Articles, including figures and tables, must not exceed 9,000 words. The Editorial Board may raise this limit when necessary.
Articles must begin with a 150-200 word abstract and 5 keywords, both in the language of the article and in English. For book reviews, a 50–100-word abstract in Turkish and English is sufficient.
After peer review is complete, an extended abstract of 750–800 words must be added in two languages other than the language of the article (Turkish, English, or Arabic).
In English titles and abstracts, words of Arabic origin must be spelled according to the Encyclopaedia of Islam.
Citations must follow the İSNAD Citation Style, 2nd edition (footnote version). Articles in Arabic must include a bibliography in Latin script at the end.
For studies requiring ethics committee approval, the approval details (committee name, date, and number) must be stated on the first page and in the methods section, and the approval document must be uploaded as a supplementary file.
For multi-authored works, a conflict of interest and author contribution statement form must be uploaded to the system. After submission, the author list and author order may not be changed without the written consent of all authors.
For critical editions and translations, a PDF copy of the manuscript or original text used must be uploaded as a supplementary file.
All submissions are screened with Turnitin. The similarity rate is expected to be below 20%.
