Yer Bağlılığının Sosyo-Mekânsal Farklar Bakımından İncelenmesi: Niğde Örneği

Öz

İnsan ve mekân arasındaki ilişkiyi ele alan coğrafya bilimi, yerin birey için önemi ile de yakından ilgilenmektedir. Bireyin yerin sosyal ve fiziksel özelliklerine ilişkin olumlu hisleri yer bağlılığı olarak bilinmektedir. Bireysel/kültürel tecrübelerin veya farkındalıkların geliştiği, belli bir süreç dâhilinde duygu, biliş ve davranışları da etkileme boyutu olan yer bağlılığı bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Yer bağlılığı, yer duygusunu da kapsayacak şekilde ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda iki farklı sosyo-kültürel özellikteki (yerli ve mübadil) katılımcı grubunun yer bağlılığına yönelik tercih veya yönelimlerinin sebeplerini anlamak amacıyla bir çalışma hazırlanmıştır. Araştırma sahası olarak üçü köy, biri şehir özelliği gösteren dört yerleşim yeri seçilmiştir. Bunlar Niğde İli, Merkez İlçesi içinde yer alan çokkültürlü bir yapıdaki Niğde şehri, homojen yerli kültür grubunun ikamet ettiği Kırkpınar Köyü, homojen mübadil kültürün yaşadığı Yeşilburç Köyü ve hem yerli hem de mübadil nüfusun bir arada yaşadığı Taşlıca Köyü’dür. 559 katılımcının gönüllü olarak dâhil olduğu bu çalışma için kartopu örnekleme metodu kullanılmış ve yüz yüze uygulanan yapılandırılmış anket soruları yardımıyla veri elde edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak da kültürel farktan ziyade mekânsal ölçekteki farka dayanan bir yer bağlılığı olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Analysis of Place Attachment in Terms of Socio-Spatial Differences: A Case Study of Nigde

Abstract

Geography science, which deals with the relationship between human and space, is also closely concerned with the importance of the place for the individual. Individual's positive feelings about the social and physical characteristics of the place are known as place dependency. The subject of this study is the place where individual / cultural experiences or awareness develop, which is a dimension that affects emotions, cognitions and behaviors within a certain process. Place attachment is handled in a way to include the sense of place. In this context, a study has been prepared in order to understand the reasons for the preferences or orientations of the participant groups with different socio-cultural characteristics (local and exchange) towards place dependency. Four settlements, three of which are villages and one of which is a city, were selected as research areas. These are the city of Niğde in a multicultural structure in the Central District of Niğde Province, Kırkpınar Village where homogeneous indigenous cultural group resides, Yeşilburç Village where homogeneous exchange culture lives and Taşlıca Village where both local and exchange population live together. For this study, in which 559 exhibitors voluntarily participated, the snowball sampling method was used and data were obtained by means of face-to-face structured questionnaires. As a result, it was determined that there is a place dependency based on the difference in spatial scale rather than cultural difference.
