Each manuscript submitted to IJMEB is initially screened through the similarity report generated via intihal.net on the DergiPark system before proceeding to the peer review process. At a later editorial stage, the manuscript is further checked using the iThenticate software. In the similarity check conducted by iThenticate, the overall similarity index (excluding references) must not exceed 20%, and similarity from a single source must not exceed 3%.
Manuscripts with similarity levels above these thresholds will be rejected without entering the review process. In this regard, similarity assessments are conducted solely based on the reports generated by iThenticate through the journal; similarity reports submitted by authors themselves are not taken into consideration.
