The age we live in is the age of absolute information. Consequently, the information content and diversity we have to acquire has increased considerably. The limitation to a single discipline contradicts the above-mentioned fact The increase in interdisciplinary studies and the fact that academics have knowledge at the level of expertise in a few disciplines apart from their areas of expertise is a necessity brought by the age. Therefore, the main policy of the Journal of International Civilisation Studies is interdisciplinary work, and we believe that such a publication policy will make the greatest contribution to our civilisation.
The Journal of International Civilisation Studies aims to bring a new voice to the world of science through its multidisciplinary structure.

The Journal of International Civilization Studies (INCISS) publishes all papers according to the open access model defined in the Budapest, Berlin and Bethesda open access statements. The full content of the papers published by INCISS allows anyone to read, download, print, use and reuse. Published papers are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. INCISS will always provide free publications to all readers anywhere in the world without any obligation or restriction.
INCISS publishes papers using many methods such as experimental, theoretical and empirical, statistical, analytical, case studies, field studies, book reviews that contribute to social science disciplines as well as multidisciplinary research.
The Journal of International Civilization Studies is an international peer-reviewed journal published twice a year in spring and autumn. All responsibility in terms of language, science and law for all papers published in The Journal of International Civilization Studies belongs to the authors and the rights of publication belong to www.inciss.com. It may not be published or reproduced in whole or in part in any way without the written permission of the publisher. The Editorial Board has the right to publish or not to publish papers submitted to the journal. Manuscripts submitted to the journal will not be returned.
Each paper must be scanned in i-thenticate plagiarism software and a screening report must be sent to the journal's email address.

General Principles
• The Journal of International Civilization Studies is an international peer-reviewed journal published biannually in May and November.
• The Journal of International Civilization Studies has the right to make corrections, publish or retract the articles.
• Submission of an article to the Journal of International Civilization Studies is accepted as an application for publication. No copyright fee is charged for a paper.
• All legal responsibility for articles submitted and/or published in the Journal of International Civilization Studies belongs to the author.
• The authors submitted the papers to the Journal of International Civilization Studies should take responsibility provided in the Ethical Declaration of Publication.
• The authors must register to the DergiPark article tracking system before submitting the paper to the Journal of International Civilization Studies. For more information about registration, uploading, and other details, please go to the homepage of Dergipark.org.tr. (DergiPark Process Guide)
• The papers submitted to the Journal of International Civilization Studies must be original works that have not been previously published or submitted elsewhere. The author should provide
- "Copyright Transfer Agreement",
- a text similarity checker report (Turnitin, iThenticate, and other plagiarism prevention software) that shows the overall ‘similarity index’ (maximum of 20%) including the bibliography;
- should be attached to the "Statement of Ethical Responsibility" signed by the
parties during the article submission.

• The publication languages are Turkish, English, and Russian. In the articles written in Russian (Cyrillic), the author’s name and affiliations, the article title, abstract and bibliography must be written in Latin. It is especially important for article indexing and scanning. In the articles written in Russian the article Title, Abstract, Keywords, and References must be provided in English.
• The maximum length of the paper should be 25 pages (including abstracts and bibliography).
• Except for specific cases concerning articles or titles in terms of spelling and punctuation, the Turkish Language Association's Spelling Guide should be taken as a basis for articles in Turkish.
• During the first submission, the papers that do not meet the journal criteria will not be peer-reviewed. The applicant should make the necessary improvements within 15 days. Manuscripts that do not meet these guidelines will be removed from the system.
• The authors should check the submission system from time to time to get reviewers’ and editors’ feedback. After the review, the authors should revise and resubmit their final manuscripts with the reviewer’s comments.
• Comments/suggestions provided by the reviewers and editors are required to be revised and resubmitted to the system within 7 days. Articles that have not been revised within this period will be deleted from the system.
• The articles should indicate whether ethics committee permission and/or legal/private permission is required. If it is necessary to obtain these permissions, it should be clearly stated from which institution, on which date and with which decision or number number the permission was obtained.
• “Ethics Committee Permission” is required for research in which humans and animals (including material/data) are used for experimental or other scientific purposes.
• If the study requires the use of human or animal subjects, it must be declared that the study is carried out in accordance with international declarations, guidelines, etc.
• “Ethics Committee Permission” is required for clinical research on humans and on animals.
• “Ethics Committee Permission” is required for retrospective studies in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law.
• For the use of scales, questionnaires and photographs belonging to others, permission must be obtained from the owners and this must be stated in the article.
• In case presentations, it should be stated that the “Informed Consent Form” has been obtained.
• It should be stated that copyright regulations are complied with for the intellectual and artistic works used.

• For researches that require ethics committee permission, the document indicating that ethics committee permission has been obtained must be submitted through the system.
• Data Access and Data Retention: Authors may be asked to provide relevant raw data that may be needed during the evaluation phase in connection with their studies. Therefore, authors/authors should be ready to provide access to these data and should retain these data for a reasonable period of time following the publication of their work.
WRITING RULES
Guidelines for Writing an Article
• Authors need to use appropriate paper Template in preparing the article.
• When first uploading the paper, the authors should not provide the author information in the paper file. It should be added as the Author Information in a separate Word document.
• If the article is accepted for publication, the author(s) should upload the article with the author information.
• Details such as page numbers, headers, and footers should not be included in the paper.
Article Page Layout
• It should be A4 size; the right-left-top margins are required to be 2.5 cm; the bottom is 1.5 cm.
• The article should be written in Cambria font. If the article is written in a specific font, it must be attached to a font file.
• Body of the text should be font size 11 pt, single spaced, and 6 pt before and after the paragraph spacing.
Titles
• The article title in the original language should be left aligned, bold and 16 pt, the title in the second language should be also left aligned, bold and 12 pt, the first letters should be provided in uppercase, and the remaining letters in lowercase.
• The article titles written as a review, conceptual analysis, or other types can be adjusted according to the content.
• Research papers should consist of the following major sections: Introduction, Methods, Findings, Results/Discussion/Recommendation. These titles should be centered, bold, and 12 pt, the first letters of each word capitalized, and no other formatting.
• Subheadings should be written in left aligned, bold, 11 pt, with the first letters capitalized.
• Subheadings of headings should be written as indenting the beginning of the paragraph, left aligned, bold, italic, 11 pt with the first letters capitalized.
• Headings should not be numbered.
Author Information
• Author information should be left aligned, normal, and 14 pt as shown in the example (Uğur ÜNAL).
NOTE: Author information should not be included in the Word document while submitting the article. Author information should be submitted as a separate file in a Word format (as the “Author information”).
Abstract
• The abstract should include the purpose, methods, findings, and results of the research and consist of 150 words minimum to 200 words maximum, font size 10 pt, and single spaced.
Keywords
• Keywords should be 3 words minimum to 5 words maximum and reflect the content of the article.
Extended Abstract
• Each paper should have an EXTENDED ABSTRACT of 750-1000 words after the Reference section. If the article is in Turkish and Russian, the abstract should be in English, and if the article is in English, the abstract should be in Turkish.
• An extended abstract should not contain headings (introduction, etc.) and should be arranged into a single column.
• An extended abstract should follow the following format standards: font size 11, single spaced, and 6 pt of space before and after the paragraphs.
Tables and Figures
• Tables and figures should be prepared in a publication-ready format and appear in the place mentioned in the texts.
• The standard tables should be 16 cm wide.
• The texts in tables should be 9 pt font size and single spaced.
• Table titles should be at the top of each table, as shown in the example below, and written in central, italic, 11pt font size.

• Tables should not have vertical lines.
• The table header and bottom margins should be 1½ pt.
• Figure titles should be placed above the figure as in the following example and given in central, italic, 11 pt font size.

Appendix
• An appendix should be given on a new page after the bibliography.
• Each Appendix should be numbered as Appendix 1, Appendix 2.
• As given in the following example, the headings of the appendices should be placed at the top in central, italic, 11 pt font size.
