Journal for the Interdisciplinary Art and Education (JIAE) is an open access journal (freely accessible online, with clear statements on the scope and conditions of reuse). Authors publishing in RMD retain the right to make their articles publicly available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.
Author Reuse Guidelines
The Repository Policy (or author self-archiving) defines how authors may make their published journal articles available online, such as in institutional repositories. RMD has adopted the following principles regarding repository and self-archiving:
* Only the publisher’s final version and the advanced online publication version (Published Version) may be used.
The use of the author’s final accepted manuscript (Accepted Version) or submitted version (Pre-print) is not permitted and is subject to embargo.
Embargo policy:
The submitted version (pre-print) is under embargo.
The accepted version (post-print) is under embargo.
Only the Published Version is free from embargo and may be deposited immediately.
When open access articles are shared, distributed, or reused, the original publication source must be clearly cited, and accurate bibliographic details must be provided.
In addition to the Published Version, authors are encouraged to include the URL/DOI of the article when depositing it in any repository.
Permitted repositories and websites:
Institutional repositories operated by national or international universities and nonprofit research organizations.
Websites of research funding organizations supporting the study.
The author’s personal website(s).
Non-commercial online thesis repositories.
Authors’ and collaborators’ social media or academic networking platforms such as ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Mendeley, and Google Scholar.
Usage conditions:
The copyright holder must be clearly acknowledged in all shared or archived versions, for example:
“© 2025 JIAE.”
RMD encourages authors to share the Published Version of their articles, provided that all usage conditions are respected. The journal applies no embargo to personal or academic repository submissions in recognized field databases and, on the contrary, actively supports them.
For instance, an article related to music education may be uploaded online to the ERIC Index (ERIC Grantee and Online Submission System) by the author.
