Journal of Teacher Education and Educators (JTEE) presents articles focused on teacher education. The journal's primary aim is to reveal the discussions on teacher education and development, and to bright light on the policies about teacher education. Therefore, the journal intends to become an academic and international platform for discussing all aspects of teacher education, sharing the practices from all around the world about teacher education and development, and determining the actions to be taken to develop more qualified teachers.
Journal of Teacher Education and Educators is fundamentally concerned with the improvement of teacher education, curriculum, policy, and in-service training. Besides these, the journal also accepts researches related to the problems of teacher educators and researchers in the field of educational sciences.
The Journal of Teacher Education and Educators particularly welcomes articles that explore alternative, critical and re-conceptualized views of teacher education; articles written for academics, educators, and practitioners that present the relationship between theory and practice explicitly.

There is no other way to submit a manuscript to JTEE such as sending a post or an e-mail. The manuscripts submitted through posts or e-mails will not be considered for the evaluation process.
Please, prepare your manuscript according to the template for the first submissions. You can find the template here. The manuscripts which are not organized according to the template will be rejected before editorial review.
Submissions must include the following files:
1. Blind manuscript prepared according to the author guidelines and first-submission template (without authors' affiliation).
2. A title page with current affiliation and full address/phone/fax/email details and ORCID ID of all the authors.
3. A cover letter explaining how your research/review is related to the field of teacher education and the scope of the journal.

Steps in the publishing process:
1 - Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts along with a separate title page as shown in author guidelines.
2 - Pre-review: The submissions are reviewed by the editorial board to understand whether they are (i) prepared according to the author guidelines, (ii) compatible with the JTEE's scope, (iii) qualified enough for potential publishing decision.
3 - With editor: The submissions meeting the criteria defined in Step 2 are forwarded to one of the editorial board members. The editor reviews the manuscript for ethical concerns, possible research and publication misconducts, reduntant publication and plagiarism. The editor ensures that the submission is reviewed by at least two scholars who are field experts with Ph.D. or Ed.D and have studied on the subject of the submission.
4 - In review: The editor assigns at least two suitably qualified reviewers for external review of the manuscript. The editor may assign another reviewer for statistical review where appropriate. The reviewers review the manuscript to ensure the rigorous standards of the scientific process and ask for revisions where needed. The reviewers may also comment on ethical questions and possible research and publication misconduct raised by submissions and originality of submissions, and to alert to redundant publication and plagiarism.
5 - After review: After the reviewers have completed their reports on the manuscript, the editor sends them to the authors in their entirety. The editor decides to revise, reject or accept the manuscript based on reviewers' comments.
6 - Revision: If the editor decides on minor/major revision based on reviewers' comments, the authors need to revise their manuscript accordingly. The authors need to submit their revised version of the manuscript, and files including explanations for the reviewers, which are prepared for each reviewer separately.
7 - Decision: The editor checks the revised version of the manuscript whether the authors have completed the necessary revisions, then sends it along with the explanation files to reviewers to learn if they have any concerns about the revised manuscript. The editor decides to reject or accept the manuscript by considering the reviewers' second reports. The editor may also ask the authors to revise the manuscript again.

JTEE adheres strictly to the COPE guidelines on good publishing practice, and follows procedures set out in the COPE flowcharts when handling cases of suspected misconduct.
Ethics Statements
Editors, editorial board members, authors and reviewers of JTEE must follow the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The publication processes conducted in the JTEE establish the basis for the development and distribution of scientific information in an objective and respectful manner. All stakeholders of the review and publication process (authors, researchers, publisher, reviewers and editors) are expected to comply with the standards for ethical principles strictly.
Ethical Responsibilities of Publisher
The publisher provides JTEE with the required resources such as website hosting of the journal, manuscript submission and publication portal, plagiarism checking tools, layout. The publisher is responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect the editorial autonomy, protecting the intellectual property rights of all the articles published in JTEE, ensuring the independent editorial decision, taking the precautions against scientific abuse, fraud and plagiarism.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
The author(s) who submit a manuscript to the JTEE are expected to comply with the following ethical responsibilities:
*All the submitted manuscripts must be the authors’ original study. When the author(s) use other scientific sources, they are required to cite completely and accurately.
*The author(s) must confirm that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere or is not currently under review by another journal. Multiple submission of the same manuscript to different journals is an ethical violation that the authors should avoid.
*Authors must express any potential competing interests openly and transparently.
*People who do not contribute to the content intellectually must not be specified as the author.
*All funding information (if applicable) must be clearly stated.
*When the authors are asked to supply raw data, they should be ready to submit such data and information
*The author(s) must notify the editor or the Publisher promptly if they notice substantial mistakes or inconsistencies in a submitted manuscript or in a manuscript that is already published. In such a case, the author(s) should cooperate with the editors during the correction or withdrawal process.
*Researches that involve living subjects should have appropriate ethical approval documents.
*Informed consent to participate in the study must be obtained from participants for the researches involving human subjects, (Informed consent to participate in the study are obtained from the legal guardians of the people under 18).
*The author(s) should confirm that the study was performed in accordance with the ethical standards as laid down in the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments.
Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
The editor and associate editors are responsible for managing the editorial processes of the submitted manuscripts. It is obligatory to act impartially in editorial processes without making any discrimination based on religion, language, gender, region, country, nationality or etc. Also the editor and associate editors of JTEE must obey the following ethical responsibilities that are based on the COPE Guidelines such as Core Practices and the Principles of Transparency, Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors ,COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. These guidelines are published as open Access by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The editors should:
*Provide explanatory and informative feedback to the author(s),
*Ensure academic integrity,
*Establish an open and constructive communication with the authors and reviewers,
*Keep the identities of reviewers secret in blind review,
*Select the reviewers based on their expertise and the subject of the study,
*Keep all the information about the manuscript confidential,
*Supervise the quality of review process,
*Make sure that articles in the journal are published in accordance with the publication policies of the journal and international standards,
*Take precautions against possible abuse and malpractice,
*Editorial process for a manuscript submitted by the one of the editors or a member of the editorial board must be conducted by another editor to ensure the objectivity and transparency.
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
All submitted manuscripts to JTEE are subject to double blind review process. This process ensures confidentiality by objective and independent review and aims to increase the quality of scientific material. Review process (selecting and assigning the reviewers) is conducted on DergiPark Journal Management System. Reviewers do not contact the authors directly, and the reviews and comments are conveyed through the journal management system. JTEE reviewers are supposed to bear the certain ethical responsibilities.
The reviewers should:
*Accept to review the manuscripts in their subject of expertise,
*Notify the editor immediately in case of conflict of interests, malpractice, plagiarism or serious ethical violation,
*Review the manuscript in terms of its content and scientific quality
*Avoid making personal comments including hostility, slander and insult while writing review report
*Review the manuscript in a constructive and kind tone,
*Keep all the information about the manuscript confidential,
*Make sure that nationality, gender, religious and political beliefs, and race do not influence the review process,
*Conduct the review process in accordance with the ethical rules stated above within a reasonable timeframe.
Plagiarism, Malpractice and Retraction Policy
Authors must ensure the academic integrity and avoid any unethical and improper actions such as fabrication, fraud authorship, plagiarism, simultaneous submission, copyright breaches, hiding competing interests, undeclared funders or sponsors etc. Contributions submitted to JTEE for publication must be the author(s) original work. Submitted manuscripts go through an initial editorial screening in terms of format, scope and originality. After the initial screening, all the submissions are checked by a plagiarism detection software to check a paper’s originality before sending out for review. The submissions which cannot verify content originality are rejected immediately.
The editors or the publisher may decide to retract an article in cases plagiarism, falsification of data, inappropriate editing and manipulating of images or republication of previously published work. If the scientific misconduct cannot be appropriately judged and assessed by the editors, the publisher may ask for an institutional investigation. JTEE journal follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for retraction.
If the editorial board detects any ethical violations for the articles published in an issue or in early release, the retraction and reporting procedures are applied in 5 days. The paper which is detected to have plagiarism, multiple submission, fabrication of the data or unethical research is labelled as “Retraction” in the electronic environment. A retraction notification is published on the website of the journal with the reason that caused retraction. The online version of the article is preceded by a screen containing the retraction note. The HTML version of the retracted manuscript is removed. The editor informs the institutions that the author(s) is affiliated with. Also the editor notifies the related institutions and databases where the journal is indexed about the retraction.

Funding
The authors have to provide all funding information (if applicable), including name of the funding institution and the grant numbers. Funding information should be declared under the heading “Funding” at the end of the manuscript file, before the references.
The published material in JTEE is under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs License, which permits use and distribution in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited, the use is non-commercial and no modifications or adaptations are made.
