Bu
yazıda, inancın iradî oluşunu [doxastik
voluntarism] reddetmenin, karşı çıkanların yaptığı kadar kolay olmadığını
savunacağım. William Alston’un, inancın iradî olamayacağı savunmasını eleştirel
olarak ele alıp, ardından inancın niyet edilebilir [bir konu] olup olmadığı
sorusu üzerinde duracağım.
