here.1. Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format, using Times New Roman 11-point font, and must not exceed 8,000 words excluding references.
2. The text must be written with single line spacing, and the page layout must have margins of 3 cm on the top, bottom, and right, and 4 cm on the left.
3. The title should be centered, written in bold, uppercase letters, 14-point font, and no longer than 12 words.
4. Author information (name, academic title, institution, faculty, email address, ORCID ID) must be listed immediately below the title.
5. Abstracts in Turkish and English must include the aim, scope, methodology, findings, and conclusion of the study. Each should be 75–150 words, 10-point font, and single spaced.
6. After the abstract, 3 to 5 keywords directly related to the content must be provided.
7. JEL classification codes must be listed below the keywords. (For JEL codes, see:
https://www.aeaweb.org/econlit/jelCodes.php?view=jel)
8. For articles written in Turkish: first the Turkish “Öz”, “Anahtar Kelimeler”, and “Jel Kodları” must be provided, followed by English “Abstract”, “Keywords”, and “JEL Codes”. The reverse order applies for articles written in English.
9. The references section must be written in 10-point font and single spaced.
10. Articles must be uploaded to the DergiPark system in .doc or .docx format after user registration.
11. A signed Author Declaration Form must be uploaded together with the manuscript. (Click
here to access the declaration form.)
12. Submitted articles must not have been previously evaluated or rejected by KAÜİİBFD, nor published or under review elsewhere.
13. Only original research articles are accepted. Other types such as reviews, opinion pieces, case reports, and book reviews are not considered.
14. To be considered as a research article, the manuscript must meet at least one of the following criteria:
A) Based on a qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method analysis
B) Fills a clear gap in the literature or provides an original contribution
C) Challenges existing paradigms or proposes new conceptual/theoretical frameworks
D) Uses primary sources or original data
15. The methodology (qualitative or quantitative) must be clearly explained in all research articles.
16. Authors must ensure the article contains findings, evaluations, or discussions that contribute to the relevant literature.
17. Articles that are merely descriptive, based solely on data classification or frequency distributions, and lacking theoretical depth or analytical contribution will not be evaluated as research articles. Manuscripts must include clearly defined research questions or hypotheses, be linked to a theoretical framework, and contain in-depth analyses supported by scientific methods.
18. Manuscripts derived from conference proceedings or master’s theses will not be considered. However, articles derived from doctoral dissertations may be accepted if they are written in English and clearly state the dissertation origin in a footnote.
19. Authors must ensure that all submissions comply with research and publication ethics. For studies involving human participants (e.g., surveys), ethics committee approval is required, must be explicitly stated in the manuscript, and documented appropriately.
20. For any third-party instruments, surveys, or visual materials, authors must obtain permission from the copyright holders and indicate this clearly in the article.
21. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) must follow the ethical principles set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). AI-generated content is not considered author contribution. If AI tools are used (e.g., for language editing), this must be explicitly disclosed in the article.
22. Authors must declare whether there are any conflicts of interest. If none, they should state: "The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest."
23. Authors must also disclose whether any financial support was received. If not, the following statement should be used: "This research received no external funding."
24. Author contributions must be stated clearly. Each author should specify their involvement in idea development, research design, data collection/processing, analysis, interpretation, writing, literature review, methodology, editing, and critical revision. Author initials (e.g., ÖUB, SÇ, CEY) must be used.
25. Authors must also declare any use of AI tools, e.g.: “AI tools were used only for language editing in this study.”
26. Authors must specify the nature and availability of data sets used, e.g.: “The data set used in this study is publicly available and explained within the text.”
27. Ethical approval and intellectual property rights must be acknowledged, e.g.: “All ethical standards have been followed and necessary permissions regarding copyright and data use have been obtained.”
28. No submission or publication fees are charged at any stage of the editorial process.
29. The opinions expressed in published articles are the sole responsibility of the authors.
30. All published articles are licensed under a Creative Commons open-access license, and may be used with proper citation.
31. Manuscripts are subject to plagiarism checks. The total similarity rate (excluding references) must not exceed 20%, and no more than 3% from a single source. Submissions exceeding these thresholds are rejected without review. Only similarity reports generated by the editorial office are valid.
32. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s aims, scope, policies, or formatting rules may be directly rejected after internal review without being sent for peer evaluation.
33. A double-blind peer review system is applied. Each article is sent to at least two reviewers. If their opinions differ, a third reviewer is consulted. The final decision rests with the editor.
34. While there is no strict formatting requirement for tables, figures, and charts, all visual elements must be prepared in line with scientific standards, clearly titled, numbered, sourced, and properly integrated with the text.
35. In-text citations and references must comply with the APA 7th Edition citation style.
