Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yavuz Karafil is a faculty member at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Faculty of Sport Sciences, Department of Sport Management. His research focuses on sport psychology, sport management, and gender studies in sport. He particularly employs Q methodology to explore athletes’ psychological processes, coaches’ strategies, and the social dimensions of sport. He has contributed to the academic literature with articles published in national and international journals, book chapters, and research projects. Dr. Karafil also serves as an editor and reviewer for various peer-reviewed journals and is actively involved in Erasmus+ and international academic collaborations.

Dr. C. Sukumaran is a dedicated Director of Physical Education at Government Law College with over two decades of teaching and research experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Education and an M.Sc. in Psychology, alongside certifications in IBM Data Analysis and Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Dr. Sukumaran has authored numerous peer-reviewed research articles on topics such as AI in Sports, Natural Language Processing, and Physical Education. He serves as an Academic Editor for PLOS ONE and as a reviewer for prestigious journals like the Journal of Multidisciplinary Healthcare and Journal of Prevention.

Dr. Süleyman GÜN is an ELT lecturer at The School of Foreign Languages, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Turkey. He holds a BA in English Language Teaching from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, an MA in English Language Teaching from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, and a PhD from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in the program of English Language Teaching. He currently teaches as an Associate Professor and continues his academic research. His research interests include applied linguistics, culture, intercultural communication, teacher education, teaching English to young learners and the use of technology in language learning and teaching.

Extensive experience of over a decade in the field of sports and physical education, serving as a university professor, journal editor, and football as well as strength and conditioning coach. Author of more than 100 scientific publications, currently engaged in research on match-running performance, cardiorespiratory and motor abilities in athletes, motor development in children, body composition and obesity among, along with broader topics in sports science and the sociology of sport.
Assistant Professor and Researcher in Physical Education and Sport Sciences, with a primary research focus on performance assessment and testing in high-performance and elite sport. My work addresses sports performance evaluation, training monitoring, physiological and motor testing, and applied sport science methodologies. I serve as a reviewer for internationally recognized journals and as a member of editorial boards and scientific committees. I have authored and co-authored over 80 scientific publications through international collaborations.
Dr. Kristina Drole earned her master's degree from the Faculty of Sport, University of Ljubljana, with the thesis "Health status and injuries of former elite athletes". At the same faculty, she was funded as a young researcher by the Public Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia and received her doctorate with the dissertation "Effects of physical, psychosocial and dual-career loads on injuries and illnesses among elite handball players". Her scientific and research work is focused on a holistic approach to athletes' health and monitoring sports performance, with a special emphasis on various types of physical and psychosocial loads, stress and blood biomarkers as key indicators for the prevention and rehabilitation of injuries and diseases. She is actively involved in national and international research projects in the field of health and physical activity, and her publications address topics such as exercise for health, athlete health, sports performance, and the challenges of dual careers. During her doctoral studies, she published 17 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 2 professional papers, and presented her work at 6 scientific conferences. She participated in more than ten national and international research projects.

From August 2, 2023, to February 5, 2025, he served as Coordinator of the Sports Program at Fatec (Centro Paula Souza - CPS), overseeing the Higher Education Technology Course in Sports and Leisure Management. He taught various higher education courses in Physical Education (both teaching licensure and bachelor's degree tracks) at Uninove from May 2015 to June 2020. He participated in higher education administration as a member of the Course Faculty Committee (NDE) for the Physical Education program at Uninove between 2015 and 2019. He has experience in the K-12 school system as a Physical Education teacher, a role he has held at CPS since July 29, 1998. He was a member of Apafsp (São Paulo Academy of Football Referees) from 2008 to 2012, holding the seventeenth seat. In 2017 and 2018, following authorization from the CPS Superintendence Office (GDS), he served on the commission responsible for reviewing and approving projects under the São Paulo State Sports Incentive Law (LPIE), managed by the State Secretariat of Sports, Leisure, and Youth. He conducts courses, lectures, and training sessions in various fields, including school management, sports practices, public policies for sports and leisure, teacher training, professional and amateur football refereeing, and dual-career paths for athletes. He has held dual Portuguese citizenship since 2017.
PH.D> Magdalena Żmuda-Pałka is a lecturer in the sociology of sport at the University of Physical Culture in Kraków. Her research interests include the history of sport in Poland, as well as historical and contemporary challenges faced by women and LGBTQ+ people participating in professional and amateur sport.
She initiates educational projects and events aimed at raising awareness of discrimination in sport and promoting the values of fair play, respect, and inclusion, particularly through education, research, and collaboration with organisations supporting women and LGBTQ+ people. These initiatives include workshops, conferences, public awareness campaigns, and lectures designed to break down barriers, empower women, and foster an open and diverse sporting environment.
She is currently working on INSPIRE, a European Commission-funded project addressing discrimination in sport.
