Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Journal of Sports Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published digitally twice a year, in June and December. The journal aims to disseminate current scientific developments, original research findings, and scholarly discussions in the field of Sports Sciences to the national and international academic community.
As of the June 2026 issue, the journal accepts and publishes manuscripts exclusively in English, in order to enhance international visibility, ensure wider academic accessibility, and promote global scholarly exchange.
The journal is committed to publishing high-quality, reliable, and ethically sound scientific research through a transparent and rigorous double-blind peer-review process. Emphasising academic integrity, methodological rigor, and ethical responsibility, the journal maintains its position as a trustworthy and reputable source within the academic publishing landscape.
Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Journal of Sports Sciences provides an inclusive academic platform that welcomes contributions from both early-career researchers and experienced scholars, supporting the dissemination of diverse, innovative, and interdisciplinary studies across the broad spectrum of sports sciences.

In accordance with national and international research ethics standards, Ethics Committee Approval is mandatory for all research articles involving human participants, animals, or personal data. Manuscripts lacking the required ethics approval will not be considered for review. This requirement does not apply to systematic reviews (meta-analyses) and narrative review articles; however, authors must clearly state this exemption in the manuscript.
