Author Guidelines and Publication Policies

Disclaimer and Waiver

- The waiver form regarding post-publication correction requests can be accessed here.

Peer Review Process

- Manuscripts submitted to the journal, if deemed suitable after the preliminary check, are sent to two reviewers under a double-blind review system via the field editor. If necessary, the Manuscript may be sent to a third reviewer.

- The field editor may also act as a reviewer for the submitted Manuscript.

- Due to field-specific workload and reviewer availability, manuscripts submitted are not guaranteed to be published in the next issue following the submission date.

Originality and Authorship Requirements

- Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

- At least one of the authors must hold a doctoral-level academic title.

Withdrawal Policy

- The former rule, stating, “Once the peer review process has started or has been completed, manuscripts cannot be withdrawn or returned,” has been updated (effective August 29, 2023), in line with improvements made by DergiPark.

- Authors may now withdraw their manuscripts at any stage (except for those assigned a DOI, accepted for publication, or already scheduled for an issue).

- Before requesting withdrawal, authors must read the relevant note carefully and provide a compulsory justification for withdrawal.

- Editorial and reviewer work is conducted voluntarily; therefore, manuscript withdrawal without a valid reason is discouraged.

- All withdrawal statistics will be stored by DergiPark and shown to editors in future submissions.

Plagiarism and Similarity Report

- Authors must obtain a plagiarism (similarity) report and submit it along with their manuscript.

For publication, the similarity rate must be under 20% in total and under 3% from a single source.

- For manuscripts derived from theses, the similarity rate must not exceed 20% in total, 10% from the primary source, and 3% from a single source.

- The journal also conducts its plagiarism screening using iThenticate at both the initial stage and before acceptance.

Language and Translation Requirements

- Manuscripts must be written in English or Turkish, accompanied by an English translation.

- A complete Turkish translation must accompany manuscripts in languages other than Turkish. Otherwise, they will not be considered for Review.

- Starting from the March 2025 issue (Vol. 15, No. 1), the journal will publish in both Turkish and English simultaneously.

- After acceptance, authors must provide an English translation and a proofreading certificate from an independent institution/organization (with verifiable certification code and trackable document).

- Without this certificate, even if accepted, the Manuscript will not be assigned a DOI.

Copyright Policy

- Copyright of all published works belongs to the journal.

- A copyright transfer form must be completed and submitted with the Manuscript.

Editorial Corrections

- The editor may make minor corrections in spelling and formatting.

- Abstracts in foreign languages may also be revised by a language editor if necessary.

Responsibility

- Authors are responsible for the opinions expressed in their manuscripts.

- All legal responsibility regarding the Manuscript rests with the authors.

Ethical Compliance

- Authors must comply with research and publication ethics.

- If the study requires ethics committee approval, the approval document must be uploaded to the system.

- If ethics approval is not required, authors must upload an Ethics Committee Exemption Statement.

- Studies in which data collection or implementation was conducted before ethics approval was obtained will be rejected.

- The date of ethics approval must not be more than two years prior to submission. Otherwise, the Manuscript will be rejected.

Reference Management

- To ensure international compatibility, using Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management is strongly recommended.

- Author guidelines for Zotero and Mendeley are available on the journal website.

Submission Template

- Manuscripts must be prepared using the official journal template, which is available on the journal's website.

- Submissions that do not conform to the template will not be evaluated.

Article Evaluation Process

Manuscripts submitted for publication undergo the following stages:

- Preliminary Check

- Plagiarism Screening

- Field Editor Review

- Peer Review (Double-Blind, at least two reviewers)

- Language and Style Editing

Manuscripts failing the Preliminary Check twice will be returned to the author and not reconsidered in the same publication period.

Manuscripts passing the Preliminary Check will be evaluated under the double-blind review principle.

A new similarity report is obtained after the review process. If deemed appropriate, the Manuscript is accepted and assigned to an issue for publication.

Upon request, an acceptance letter may be issued.

All processes are conducted via DergiPark; further communication occurs through the system’s messaging module or the official journal's email address.

Authors can access the Reviewer Response Form to explain the revisions made in response to reviewer feedback.

- Include the book cover image on the first page

- Provide full bibliographic details: title, author, city, publisher, year, page count, ISBN

- Reviewer’s name and affiliation must be indicated at the bottom of the page
