Abbreviations in the tables should be explained below the table.
The following rules must be followed in tables and in the main text;
1- The space will be closed with “±” numbers Example: 10.7±4.8
2- Abbreviations such as >, ng/mL, °C should not contain spaces.
3- The numbers must be written without a space behind it. Example: 42.6%
4- Decimal numbers must be used without spaces. Example: 0.50
5- Table titles should be bold

7- Do not use a “dot” after the title of the tables.
Example:
Table 1.
Statistical rules for tables
Statistical Analysis Section
• The statistical analyses used in the study should be detailed under the subheading "Statistical Analyses" within the Materials and Methods section.
• The software or programming language utilized in the study should be cited, including the version number.
• Instead of using notations such as p<0.05 or p>0.05, the actual p values for comparison results should be reported (e.g., p=0.002; p=0.695). Additionally, statistically significant results (p<0.05) should be marked with an asterisk (*) next to the p value.
• The tests used to evaluate assumptions in the study should be specified (e.g., Kolmogorov-Smirnov for normality, Levene's Test for homogeneity of variance).
• If multiple tests are employed for comparisons in tables, a footnote must indicate which p value corresponds to which test result (e.g., t: Independent samples t-test, z: Mann-Whitney U Test).
• Descriptive statistics and p values should not be presented in separate tables. In the tables displaying results, the corresponding p value and test value should be clearly stated alongside the descriptive statistics.
Spelling rules for pictures and figures
• All pictures must be cited in the text.
• Images of any institution or patient should not have information on it. Eyes should be closed to protect privacy in face photos.
• Images must be with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, 1280x960 pixels and saved in jpg or tiff formats.
• Each picture, figure or graphic should be prepared as a separate document and uploaded as appendices to the text. It should not be placed in the main text
• If signs as arrow etc. are used on the picture, this should be stated in the picture description.
• Picture description: The parts that want to attract attention in the pictures must be marked with thin, black or white color (Arrows should be thin, white or black depending on their location). Please write a detailed description in the description section of the pictures. If some pictures show improvement after treatment, please add information in the form of radiography, scintigraphy, etc. findings that have improved after treatment as a caption.
Picture and Figure titles should be bold.
Example:
Picture 1.
Figure 1.
• In order for the articles to pass the pre-check without rejection, the article template must be used. In order for your studies to be evaluated, the entire study must be prepared using the Pamukkale Medical Journal Article Template. The template file you will download will facilitate the preparation of the articles in accordance with the spelling rules of our journal.
• When uploading the article to the DergiPark System, fill in both the Turkish and English tabs of the TITLE - SHORT TITLE - SUMMARY - KEY WORDS sections.
• The study must comply with the grammar rules. Valid scientific methods should be followed in the preparation of the article, the subject, purpose, scope of the study, the reason for its preparation, etc. information should be given in sufficient quantity and in a certain order. Articles that do not comply with the spelling rules will be rejected.
• According to TR Index criteria, publications related to authors who do not have ORCID Information will not be accepted.

PAMUKKALE MEDICAL JOURNAL PUBLISHING POLICY
The term of office of the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board and Field Editors of Pamukkale Medical Journal is three years. The Editorial Board meets at least once a month or more frequently, when necessary, upon the invitation of the Editor-in-Chief and discusses the agenda items. The meeting takes place when a majority is achieved.
The preliminary evaluation of the reference articles is reviewed by the journal's secretariat in terms of compliance with the writing rules of our journal and is sent back to the author for corrections. The maximum period granted to the author is 1 (one) month. Articles submitted to our journal are read once by the Editor-in-Chief/Assistant Editor and directed to the relevant Field Editor. If the Field Editor finds the article suitable for evaluation, it directs it to the referees., The pre-evaluation phase is planned by the editor as 10 days and the referee evaluation process as 8 weeks. The next process; The article is evaluated in the form of correspondence between the Field Editor, the Referees and the Author, but the final decision for the article is determined within a maximum of 2 (two) months after the reviewers' opinions and the necessary correspondence are completed.
Articles submitted in accordance with the publication rules are sent to two referees who are experts in their fields for evaluation by the relevant Field Editor. However, due to the lack of timely return due to undesirable reasons from the referees, re-appointment of referees etc. The referee evaluation process may take a long time for reasons. In this regard, we kindly ask the authors to send their articles by considering the time period. Two referees evaluate the article sent to them and report the result back to the relevant Field Editor. The Editorial Board has to get results from at least two referees within 2 (two) months in order to make the final decision about the article. If one of the two referees evaluating the article gives a positive report and the other gives a negative report, the article is sent to the third referee and the final decision is made according to the positive or negative opinion of the third referee. If the corrections requested by the referee are not answered within 2 (two) months, the articles will be 'Rejected'.
Our Field Editors show the necessary sensitivity to complete all the processes of the article within 4-6 months at the latest. Incomplete and erroneous works that do not comply with the journal policy and publication rules are rejected without any effect. Author(s) who submit an article to Pamukkale Medical Journal are deemed to have accepted the referee evaluation conditions and process of the journal. In the studies submitted to Pamukkale Medical Journal, the authors have to take into account the criticisms and suggestions of the referees and the field editor. If there are issues that they do not agree with, they have the right to object together with their reasons. The final decision of the article; It is forwarded to the author by the Editor-in-Chief/Assistant Editor-in-Chief on behalf of the Editorial Board. Therefore, the decision letter does not belong to the Editor-in-Chief/Assistant Editor-in-Chief. It should be known that the decision whether to publish an article under any circumstances is made by the Editorial Board, and this decision made in scientific evaluation can not be criticized by a different higher committee.
The reader can notify the Journal Secretariat by sending an e-mail to tipdergisi@pau.edu.tr when she/he notices an important error or omission in a published article
Pamukkale Medical Journal does not charge any fee for article submission or article publication process.
