Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Pamukkale University, Türkiye. He received his BA in Political Science and Public Administration from Middle East Technical University (2011) and his PhD from Pamukkale University (2019) with a dissertation entitled Rescaling of Local Politics: The Case of Denizli. His research focuses on urban politics, local governance, business–government relations, participatory mechanisms, local government reforms, and the politics of the commons. Aydıner has been actively involved in research and teaching on the transformation of local governance and the evolving dynamics of municipal politics in Türkiye. His work critically engages with the interplay between state restructuring, local political autonomy, and civic participation, while also interrogating the role of business actors in shaping urban policies. In addition to his academic publications, he contributes to national and local debates on democratic participation and the reconfiguration of local politics under neoliberal pressures. His ongoing research explores the potential of commons-oriented politics and new municipalist practices to advance more democratic, inclusive, and counter-hegemonic forms of urban governance.
 

I've been working as a professor in the Department of Sociology at Pamukkale University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences since 2018.

Dr. Mehmet Ulaş Koyuncuoğlu is an assistant professor in the Department of Management Information Systems at Pamukkale University. He holds BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in Industrial Engineering, and his research focuses on production line performance analysis, buffer allocation optimization, meta-heuristic algorithms, artificial intelligence–based production rate estimation, and modeling of microplastic pollution. He has served as both principal investigator and researcher in TÜBİTAK-funded and institutionally supported projects. His scholarly work has been published in leading international journals such as Expert Systems with Applications, Computers & Industrial Engineering, and Urban Water Journal. Dr. Koyuncuoğlu teaches courses on simulation, optimization, digital twins, and decision sciences, and conducts interdisciplinary research combining manufacturing systems, data-driven decision-making, and environmental analysis.
