PESA International Journal of Social Studies

PESA International Journal of Social Studies is published by Political, Economic and Social Studies Centre (PESA) at the end of March, July and November. It is a refereed and double-blind journal. It is a scientific journal which has double-blind peer review. The studies from the following areas are welcome: Education, Public Administration, Politics, International Relations, Sociology, History, Philosophy and Turkish language. The journal aims to disseminate knowledge and share it with researchers, the practitioners and also ordinary people. The journal is published only online.

Plagiarims policy: When plagiarim is detected in a study, it will be directly rejected. We use authenticate program to check for plagiarism. Please, ensure that you yourselves check your study for plagiarism before submitting it to the journal.

Open Access Policy: This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access. (https://doaj.org/publishers)

The studies from the following areas are welcome: Sociology, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Communication and Media Studies and Turkish language studies.

INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF SOCIAL STUDIES FORMATTING GUIDELINES

The studies that will be sent to International Journal of Social Studies should adhere to the formatting guidelines provided below. The manuscripts sent to the journal must not exceed 20 pages including references and appendices.

1.       PAGE STRUCTURE

A4 format should be used in MS Word.

2.       Fonts

Calibri 11, 1-spaced an one blank line should be left between paragraphs. Page layour should be 3 centimeters from top and it should be 2,5 centimeters for right, left and lower sides. Tables should be at least 9 pts and the references should be 9 pts.

3.       TITLES AND SUB-TITLES

The first heading should be in the language the article is written in. It should be 9 pts and all in capital letters. The title should be centered and bold. It should precisely summarise the study and it should not exceed 12 words. If the article is in Turkish, the English title should be placed using 12nk paragraph spacing and the first letter of each word should be capitalised. The rules for in-text titles are expected to be as follows:

·         Main titles should be 11 pts, bold and capitalised (Introduction, Methodology, Findings, Results etc.)

·         Secondary titles should be 11 pts and the first letters of the words should be capital. The secondary title should be bold.

·         Third-level titles should be bold and first letters be capitalised. It should be 9 pts.

If a fourth-level title is needed, it should be 10 pts, bold and italic and the first letters should be capitalised.

Referencing: APA 6 should be followed.

-açık erişim olarak Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) tarafından yayınlanan "COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" ve "COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" rehberleri temelinde aşağıdaki etik görev ve sorumluluklara sahip olmalıdır.

Yazarlar:

-daha önce bir yerde yayımlanmamış ve yayımlanmak üzere başka bir yere gönderilmemiş çalışmalar göndermelidir.

-sadece çalışmaya entelektüel açıdan katkı sağlamış yazarları eklemelidirler.

-istendiğinde işlenmemiş veri, onam formları ve izin formları gibi ekstra dökümanları sunmaya hazır olmalıdır.

-tek seferde sadece bir dergiye makale eklemelidir.

Hakemler:

-yansız ve gizli olarak uzmanlık alanındaki makaleleri değerlendirmeyi kabul etmelidir.

-makaleleri yapıcı ve nazik bir şekilde hakaretten kaçınarak değerlendirmelidir.

-makaleleri cinsiyet, din ve siyaset ayrımı gözetmeksizin nesnel bir şekilde içerik bakımından değerlendirmelidir.

Yayın Politikası:

PESA Uluslararası Sosyal Araştırmalar Dergisi açık erişim modelini benimsemiş bir dergidir ve tamamen ücretsizdir. Yayın sürecinin hiçbir aşamasında yazarlardan ücret talep edilmemektedir. Dergiye gönderilen çalışmalar ilk 4 hafta içinde editör ön kontrolünden geçirilip reddedilmekte yada ilgili alan editörü ve hakemlere gönderilmektedir. Hakemlik süreci hakemlerin göndereceği cevaba bağlı olmakla birlikte hakem raporlarının 8 hafta içerisinde gelmesini beklemekteyiz.

Dergi ücretsiz ve açık erişim sunmaktadır.
