During the manuscript submission phase, the manuscript cannot be sent to another journal for evaluation unless the withdrawal request is approved since the publishing rights have been transferred to UHSJN by the author(s).
The UHSJN Editorial Board is obliged to initiate an investigation regarding the manuscript, in case of suspicion of copyright violation and/or plagiarism regarding a manuscript under evaluation or a published article. As a result of the investigation, if the Editorial Board detects copyright violation and/or plagiarism in the manuscript, the manuscript will be withdrawn from evaluation and returned to the authors. If the article has been published, "Withdrawn" phrase will be appended to the title of the article in electronic display. Peer Review and Editorial Decision Making Process
The UHSJN is a peer-reviewed and scientific journal. Manuscripts submitted to the journal for publication are assessed by the Editorial Board and referees. All submitted manuscripts are subject to an assessment of the Editorial Board at the first stage. At this stage, the manuscript is evaluated in terms of the currency and the originality of the subject, suitability for coverage, the contribution to nursing practices, and conformity with the formal rules reported in the editorial guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal's formal rules, but are deemed suitable for evaluation are returned to the author for editing without further review. Manuscripts that are candidates for publication are sent to at least two independent referees compatible with the field of study. If the referee’s opinions are not consistent, the opinion of a third referee is taken. The referee evaluation process is approximately 15 days for each referee. The corrections suggested by the Referees and Editorial Board are notified to the author(s); the author(s) should make the corrections and upload the file named "Information to Editors and Referees" regarding these regulations to the system. This process between the referees and the author(s) is continued by double-blinding, keeping the identity information confidential. The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of the manuscripts is made by the editor. In order to publish the manuscript approved for publication, the approval of the author (s) is obtained over the final form. This process is about 4-8 months.
