Aims
The aim of the Journal of the Faculty of Theology of Sirnak University is to contribute to studies in the field of theology. In this context, our journal aims to publish studies such as research articles, review articles, translated articles, and case reports in the field of religious studies (Social and Humanities/Religious Sciences). The publication of scientific studies in these fields will not only contribute to the universality of science but will also facilitate the accessibility of information. For this reason, the ultimate goal of our journal is to freely convey the information produced in the name of science to society and to reinforce the universality of science.

Wage Policy
All expenses of Journal of the Faculty of Theology of Sirnak University are covered by the publisher. The publication of articles and the execution of article processes in the journal are free of charge. No processing fee or submission fee is charged under any name for articles submitted to the journal or accepted for publication.
WRITING RULES
1) Journal of Şırnak University Faculty of Theology; It publishes academic studies in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, with priority in Basic Islamic Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Sciences, Islamic History & Arts, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge Education.
2) The article acceptance dates of our journal, which is published electronically in two issues per year, June and December, will be 1 JANUARY-1 MARCH for the June issue and 1 JULY-1 SEPTEMBER for the December issue. If the number of articles reaches a sufficient level, the article acceptance process can be closed before these dates.
3) Submitted manuscripts should be appropriate to the purpose and scope of the journal.
4) Original, unpublished manuscripts that are not in the evaluation process in another journal and whose content and submission have been approved by each author are accepted for evaluation.
5) Copyright and publication rights of the author(s) are reserved. For articles with multiple authors, a document showing the author contribution rate must be uploaded to the system.
6) In the research article type, only the works of researchers with a PhD degree are accepted for evaluation. In the first application, the imprint information of the authors must be included in the text.
7) Only one article by the same author in the same publication period can be processed and published if it passes the referees.
8) Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the journal's spelling rules. Articles that do not comply with the journal's spelling rules will be rejected without evaluation.
9) Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to the journal website via the "Submit Manuscript" tab.
10) The article should be written in Palatino Linotype font in Microsoft Word using Şırnak University Journal of Faculty of Theology, Article Template, with text 11, headings 12, footnotes 9 font size.
11) Articles that do not use the ISNAD Citation System (2nd Edition with Footnotes) will be rejected.
12) Articles exceeding 8,000 words or 30 pages will be returned to the author for revision.
13) Submitted articles should include a 450-500 word Turkish abstract, an English abstract and at least 5 Turkish and English keywords. The first keyword must be the name of the related field of science (For example: Kalam, Dhat,... ).
14) All expenses of the journal are covered by the Publisher. The publication of articles in the journal and the execution of article processes are not subject to a fee. No processing fee or submission fee is charged for articles submitted to the journal or accepted for publication.
15) After the manuscript is submitted to the Journal for publication, none of the authors' names may be deleted from the list of authors without the written permission of all authors, and no new name may be added as an author and the order of authors may be changed.
16) This journal checks for plagiarism in manuscripts submitted for review. Plagiarism, duplication, false authorship/confessed authorship, research/data fabrication, article slicing, slicing and dicing, copyright infringement and concealment of conflict of interest are considered unethical behaviors. All articles that do not comply with accepted ethical standards are removed from publication. This includes manuscripts that contain possible irregularities and improprieties detected after publication.
17) Double-Blind Reviewing: After the plagiarism check, eligible manuscripts are evaluated by the editor-in-chief for originality, methodology, the importance of the topic covered and compatibility with the scope of the journal. The Editor-in-Chief ensures that the manuscripts undergo double-blind review in a fair manner, and if the manuscript complies with the formal guidelines, he/she submits the manuscript to the evaluation of at least two referees from Turkey and/or abroad. If necessary, the article may be sent to a third referee. However, the evaluation process of an article that is rejected by a referee for any reason is terminated and the article is handed over to the author with the justification for rejection.
18) Publication Decision: If the referees deem it necessary, changes are made by the author. The Editorial Board decides whether or not to publish the text corrected by the author. Depending on the intensity of article submissions, an article approved for publication may not be published in the current issue. Authors should submit their manuscripts taking this into account.
19) Preliminary review and referee process takes an average of 70 days / 10 weeks.
20) Permanent Article Identifier: All published articles are assigned a DOI as a permanent article identifier.
21) Articles published in this journal are archived digitally in LOCKSS. The LOCKSS system has permission to collect, preserve and present this access Archive Unit.
22) Articles that do not use the ISNAD Citation System are refused.
23) All documents and files must be submitted as Word documents (.doc or .docx).
24) At the end of the article, before the bibliography, the contribution rate statement of the researchers, and support and acknowledgment statements, if any, should be stated in the conflict statement in accordance with the table below.
25) Ethics Committee approval should be obtained for articles that require Ethics Committee approval, and this approval (committee name, date, and number) should be stated on the first page of the article and in the method section. Correction, Withdrawal, Expression of Concern
Editors may consider issuing a correction if minor errors are detected in the published article that do not affect the findings, comments, and conclusions. Editors should consider retracting the article in case of major errors/violations that invalidate the findings and conclusions. If there is a possibility of misuse of research or publication by the authors; If there is evidence that the findings are unreliable and that the authors' institutions did not investigate the incident, or if the potential investigation seems unfair or inconclusive, editors should consider issuing a statement of concern. COPE and ICJME guidelines are taken into account with regard to correction, withdrawal or expression of concern.
Plagiarism Action Plan and Journal's Precautions
The journal respects intellectual property and aims to protect and promote the original work of its authors. Articles containing plagiarism are against the standards of quality, research and innovation. Therefore, all authors who submit articles to the journal are expected to comply with ethical standards and avoid plagiarism in any form. If an author is suspected of plagiarism in a submitted or published article, the journal's Ethics Editor reviews the work first. This work is then reviewed by the Editorial Board. The Journal then contacts the author(s) to submit their comments within two weeks. If the journal does not receive any response from the author within the specified time, it requests the investigation of the claim by contacting the university to which the author is affiliated.
The journal will take the following serious measures against published articles that are found to contain plagiarism:
1. The journal will immediately contact the university to which the author(s) are affiliated, in order to take final action against the related author.
2. The journal will remove the PDF copy of the published article from its website and disable all links to the full-text article. The phrase Plagiarized Article will be added to the title of the published article.
3. The journal will disable the author's account and reject all future submissions by the author for a period of 3 years.
This journal checks for plagiarism in studies submitted for review: Pre-checked articles are scanned for plagiarism using iThenticate or Turnitin software. If plagiarism/self-plagiarism is detected, the authors are informed. If necessary, the editors may subject the article to plagiarism control at various stages of the evaluation or production process. High similarity rates can cause an article to be rejected before or even after it is accepted. This rate is expected to be less than 20%.
Publication of research that involve human subjects (i.e., surveys and interviews)
Journal of the Faculty of Theology of Sirnak University adopts the "Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" and "Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers" of the Publication Ethics Committee (COPE) in order to create ethical assurance in scientific periodicals. In this context, the following points should be followed in the manuscripts submitted to the journal:
1) For research conducted in all branches of science that requires ethics committee approval (ethics committee approval should be obtained, this approval should be stated and documented in the article.
2) In research that requires ethics committee permission, information about the permission (name of the committee, date, and number) is in the method section, and also on one of the first/last pages of the article; In case of reports, information about signing the informed consent/consent form should be included in the article.
Editorial oversight and processing concerning special issues
A special issue can be published in the journal upon the request of the Editorial Board. Manuscripts sent for inclusion in a special issue are first subjected to editorial review. Then it is examined in terms of compliance with the writing rules of the journal and similarity is scanned to prevent plagiarism. After these stages, it is taken into the peer review process in which the double-blind model is used.

1. Authorship
• The bibliography list should be complete.
• Plagiarism and fake data should not be included.
• The same research should not be attempted to be published in more than one journal, it should comply with scientific research and publication ethics. Actions against science research and publication ethics are as follows:
a) Plagiarism: Presenting the ideas, methods, data, practices, writings, figures or works of others as their own work, in whole or in part, without attribution in accordance with scientific rules,
b) Fraud: To produce data that is not based on research, to edit or change the presented or published work on the basis of untrue data, to report or publish them, to present a research that has not been done, as if it has been done,
c) Distortion: To falsify research records and obtained data, to present methods, devices and materials that are not used in the research as if they were used, not to evaluate the data that are not suitable for the research hypothesis, to manipulate the data and/or results in order to fit the relevant theory or assumptions, falsify or shape research results in their own interests,
ç) Republishing: To present more than one work containing the same results of a research as separate works in associate professor examination evaluations and academic promotions,
d) Slicing: Presenting the results of a research as separate works in the evaluations of associate professorship exams and academic promotions by dividing the results of a research in a way that violates the integrity of the research, by dividing it into parts inappropriately and by making multiple publications without reference to each other,
e) Unfair authorship: Including people who do not contribute actively among the authors, not including those who contribute actively among the authors, changing the order of authors unjustifiably and inappropriately, removing the names of those who contributed actively from the work at the time of publication or in subsequent editions, exerting influence even though there is no active contribution. to include his name among the authors,
f) Other types of ethical violations: Not clearly stating the supporting persons, institutions or organizations and their contributions in the publications of the research carried out with support, not complying with the ethical rules in research on humans and animals, not respecting the rights of patients in their publications, to share the information contained in the work with others before it is published, to misuse the resources, places, facilities and devices provided or reserved for scientific research, to accuse completely baseless, groundless and intentional ethical violations (YÖK Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive, Article 8).
2. Author's Responsibilities
• All authors must contribute significantly to the research.
• A statement that all data in the article is true and original is required.
• All authors must ensure retraction and correction of errors.
3. Responsibilities of Reviewers
• Evaluations should be impartial.
• Reviewers should not have a conflict of interest with the research, authors and/or research funders.
• Referees should indicate relevant published but not cited works.
• Checked articles should be kept confidential.
4. Editorial Responsibilities
• Editors have full responsibility and authority to accept or reject an article.
• Editors should not have a conflict of interest regarding the accepted or rejected articles.
• Only articles that will contribute to the field should be accepted.
• Support the publication or withdrawal of the fix when errors are found.
• Referees must remain anonymous and prevent plagiarism/fake data. The peer-review process is central to the success of scientific publication. It is part of our commitment to protect and improve the peer-review process, and there is an obligation to assist the scientific community of Journal of the Faculty of Theology of Sirnak University in all publishing ethics-related situations, especially in case of questionable, duplicate publications or plagiarism. Articles submitted for publication in the Journal of the Faculty of Theology of Sirnak University are subject to double-blind peer-review evaluation by at least two referees. In addition, it is confirmed that the articles have not been published before and do not contain plagiarism through iThenticate or Turnitin, which is used for plagiarism detection.
Preliminary Review and Plagiarism Screening:
Study; The journal is reviewed by the editor for compliance with publication principles, academic writing rules and ISNAD Citation System, and is screened for plagiarism using the iThenticate or Turnitin program. The plagiarism similarity rate is required to be less than 20%. The preliminary review is completed within a maximum of 15 days.
Field Editor Review:
The study, which has passed the Preliminary Review and Plagiarism Screening phase, is examined by the relevant field editor in terms of problematic and academic language-style. This review will be completed in a maximum of 15 days.
Referee Process (Academic Evaluation):
The study, which passes the review of the field editor, is submitted to the evaluation of at least two referees who have a doctoral thesis, book or article on the subject. The arbitration process is carried out in secrecy within the framework of the double-blind arbitration practice. The referee is requested to either state his opinion and opinion on the study he has examined on the text or justify it with a minimum 150-word explanation on the online referee form. If the author does not agree with the referee's opinions, he is given the right to object and defend his opinions. Provides mutual communication between the field editor, author and referee, while maintaining confidentiality. If both referee reports are positive, the study is submitted to the Editorial Board with a proposal to evaluate its publication. Studies can be published with the positive decision of at least two referees. translated articles; It is sent to language and related field experts to be evaluated in terms of conformity with the original, appropriate use of field concepts and language. Translations in which experts have negative opinions are not published. The publication of book and symposium evaluations and doctoral thesis summaries is decided after the evaluation of the relevant field editors. Correction Phase: If the referees want corrections in the text they have examined, the relevant reports are sent to the author and he is asked to correct his work. It is requested that the correction be completed within a maximum of 10 days. The author presents his corrections to the field editor by marking them in red.
Field Editor Control:
The field editor checks whether the author has made the requested corrections in the text. The control process is completed within a maximum of 15 days.
Referee Control:
The referee requesting correction checks whether the author has made the requested corrections in the text. The control process is completed within a maximum of 7 days. Preparation of Detailed Abstracts and Summary: The authors of the studies about which both referees have decided to be "publishable" are asked to expand the abstract part of the articles to 450-500 words.
Turkish Language Check:
Studies that have passed the peer-review process are examined by the Turkish Language Editor and if necessary, corrections are requested from the author. The control process is completed within a maximum of 15 days.
English Language Check:
The works that pass the Turkish language control are reviewed by the English Language Editor and if necessary, corrections are requested from the author. The control process is completed within a maximum of 15 days.
Editorial Board Review:
The articles that pass technical, academic and linguistic reviews are reviewed by the Editorial Board and the final publication status is decided. In case of objection from the members, the Board decides by majority of votes.
Typesetting and Layout Phase:
The typesetting and layout of the studies decided to be published by the Editorial Board are made ready for publication. Data Submission to National and International Indexes: The printed copy of the published issue is sent to domestic and foreign reference libraries within 60 days at the latest; The article metadata is forwarded to the relevant indexes within 15 days.

The publication of articles and the execution of article processes in the journal are free of charge. No processing fee or submission fee is charged under any name for articles submitted to the journal or accepted for publication. Journal of the Faculty of Theology of Sirnak University does not accept sponsorship or advertising due to its publication policies.
