Tafsir Journal, which started its publication life in 2021, aims to convey knowledge and different, innovative scientific researches in Quran-indexed, Islamic Sciences to its readers. Tafsir Journal is a periodical publication focused on reaching an international level where research-quality scientific studies related to Quranic sciences and Islamic sciences are published. The readership of our journal is all readers who are interested in scientific studies. Tafsir Journal is published twice a year on June 30 and December 30. The copyrights of the studies accepted in Tafsir Journal, approved by referees and entitled to be published belong to their authors. Tafsir Journal has adopted a policy of being accessible to everyone, although it has no commercial purpose. Tafsir Journal aims to share with the public and contribute to the knowledge accumulation of the mentioned fields by publishing scientific studies such as research articles, translations, book critiques and symposium evaluations related to Quranic sciences and Islamic sciences.
Tafsir Journal accepts research articles, translations, promotional articles (for books, articles, theses, projects, symposiums and conferences), critical text studies and similar scientific studies related to Quranic and Islamic sciences for publication. The scope of the journal includes Islamic sciences such as Tafsir, Tafsir Methodology, Tafsir History, Recitation, Quranic studies, Hadith, Islamic Law, Kalam, Arabic Language and Rhetoric, Islamic History, Sociology of Religion, Psychology of Religion. Scientific studies prepared in Turkish, Arabic and English can also be published.
•The texts should be written in Microsoft Word and the page margins should be set as follows:
•Paper Size: Vertical A4
•Top Margin: 3 cm
•Bottom Margin: 3 cm
•Left Margin: 2.5 cm
•Right Margin: 2.5 cm
•Main Text Font: Times New Roman
•Font Style: Normal
•Size (normal text): 12 points
•Size (footnote text): 10 points
•Normal Text Line Spacing: 1.15 / Paragraph Spacing: 0 pt Before, 6 pt After
•Main text (Except References, Abstract and Footnotes) paragraph indentation should be 1.25 on the first line.
•Footnote paragraph indentation should be 0.5 and all sources should be aligned by pressing the TAP key on the first line, should be justified and should be single-spaced.
•Essence and Writing Rules: Font should be Times New Roman, Normal, 11 Point, Line spacing: Single.
•The references should start on a separate page after the results page. Line spacing: 1.5. Paragraph indentation: The hanging should be justified at 1.25. There should be no line spacing between the references in the text of the article.
•Turkish should be selected in the text and possible spelling errors should be eliminated as much as possible with the Spell Check Grammar scan.
•TAFSIR MAGAZINE uses the Isnad Citation Style 2 in citation and bibliography writing.

Actions against scientific research and publication ethics:
• Plagiarism: Presenting others' ideas, methods, data, applications, writings, figures or works as one's own work, partially or completely, without citing their owners in accordance with scientific rules,
• Forgery: Producing data that is not based on research, editing or changing a presented or published work based on false data, reporting or publishing these, presenting a research that was not conducted as if it was conducted,
• Distortion: Falsifying research records and obtained data, presenting methods, devices and materials that were not used in the research as if they were used, not evaluating data that is not in accordance with the research hypothesis, tampering with data and/or results to fit the relevant theory or assumptions, falsifying or shaping research results in line with the interests of persons and organizations from which support is received,
Publication Ethics Policy
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is a necessary building block for the development of a harmonious and respected knowledge network. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and shape the scientific method. Therefore, it is important for all parties involved in the publication, the author, the journal editor, the referee and the publishing organizations to agree on the standards of expected ethical behavior:
•Republication: Presenting multiple works containing the same results of a research as separate works in associate professorship exam evaluations and academic promotions,
• Slicing: Presenting the results of a research as separate works in associate professorship exam evaluations and academic promotions by inappropriately dividing them into pieces and publishing multiple publications without citing each other in a way that disrupts the integrity of the research,
• Unfair authorship: Including people who have no active contribution among the authors, not including people who have active contribution among the authors, changing the author order in an unjustified and inappropriate manner, removing the names of those who have actively contributed from the work during publication or in subsequent editions, using one's influence to have one's name included among the authors even though one has not actively contributed.
Other types of ethical violations:
a) Not indicating the supporting persons, institutions or organizations and their contributions in publications made as a result of research conducted with support,
b) Using theses or studies that have not yet been presented or defended and accepted as sources without the permission of the owner,
c) Not complying with ethical rules in research conducted on humans and animals, not respecting patient rights in publications,
ç) Acting contrary to the provisions of the relevant legislation in biomedical research and other clinical research involving humans,
d) Sharing information contained in a work that one has been assigned to review with others before publication without the explicit permission of the author,
e) Using resources, venues, facilities and devices provided or allocated for scientific research for purposes other than intended,
f) Making baseless, unfounded and intentional accusations of ethical violations,
g) Publishing data obtained in surveys and attitude surveys conducted within the scope of a scientific study without obtaining the explicit consent of the participants or, if the research is to be conducted in an institution, without obtaining the permission of the institution,
ğ) Harming animal health and ecological balance in research and experiments,
h) Not obtaining written permissions from authorized units that must be obtained before starting the studies in research and experiments,
ı) Conducting studies contrary to the provisions of the legislation or international agreements to which Türkiye is a party regarding relevant research and experiments in research and experiments,
i) Not complying with the obligation of researchers and authorities to inform and warn the relevant parties about possible harmful practices related to scientific research,
j) Not using data and information obtained from other persons and institutions in scientific studies to the extent and in the manner permitted, not respecting the confidentiality of this information and not ensuring its protection,
k) Making false or misleading statements regarding scientific research and publications in academic appointments and promotions (YÖK Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive, Article 4).
