SUBMISSION
Before starting to submit your study to Turkish Journal of Earthquake Research (TDAD), please carefully read our Ethical Principles and Publication Policy. Also read please below issues in order to make proper preparation for TDAD:
* Title Page: This file is required during submission. When the manuscript is accepted, it will be the cover of the paper You can download it by clicking here.
* Copyright Form: This file is required to declare absence or presence of conflicts of interest / competing interests. It must be printed, signed by hand, scanned and uploaded the system as pdf file. Click here to download the form.
* Similarity Report: This file is required. It can be obtained via iThenticate. Similarity rate should be less than or equal to 20%. Before saving your manuscript to iThenticate, please delete abstract, all figures and tables, all figure and table captions, acknowledgements, reference list, research data, conflicts of interest, and contribution rate, appendix sections of your manuscript. Then convert it to pdf and upload/save a clean document to iThenticate.
* Manuscript: Please use our template to submit your paper. Manuscripts are welcomed Turkish language only (with english title, abstract, keywords, highlights). Author’s name, surname, title, institution, e-mail and ORCID number are mandatory during submission. Proper information must be clearly indicated in Research Data, Conflicts of Interest, and Contribution Rate sections that are given at the end of References part as visible in the template file:
** Research Data: It is given at the end of “References” section in our template, and must be carefully written (PS: During the submission phase, this file will not be uploaded to system separately form the template).
** Conflicts of Interest / Competing Interests: It is given at the end of “References” section, and must be emphasized (PS: During the submisson phase, this file will not be uploaded to system separately from the template).
** Contribution Rate: It is also given at the end of “References” section, and needs to be filled considering the ethical issues outlined over there (During the submission phase, this file will not be uploaded to system separetely from the template).
PUBLICATION PROCESS
All studies should be submitted to TDAD via DergiPark electronic submission system only. Manuscripts that sent via e-mail, courier, post or by hand, which are independent of DergiPark, will not be considered.
Secretariat of the journal performs initial review, and is entitled to reject if not conformable with the conditions concerning the orthography, grammar, similarity report, or to return back to corresponding author for correcting, or to request re-form of the manuscript (duration of this stage is 1 week).
Manuscripts are sent to at least two reviewers after initial review of the secretariat with respect to formatting and content. After having positive feedbacks from both reviewers, the manuscripts are published. In case of having one positive and one negative feedback, the manuscript is sent to the third reviewer (duration of this stage is 6-8 weeks).
Final decision will be given regarding the details of reviewers and corresponding author (duration of this stage is 1 week).
VISIBILITY
In text and references list, English characters must to be used instead local/Turkish characters in order to improve the visibility and readability of TDAD papers by international readers. Our journal only accepts papers if English citations are available in the body of whole paper. As meta-data requested by international indexes, using English characters in the text and reference list regarding citations are important to improve visibility of TDAD journal.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
Please carefully read all issues outlined in the template file. No changes can be made on template.
Abstract must contain up to 120 words and formed as single paragraph. It should summarize the reason, scope and results of the study.
Research Data, Conflicts of Interest, and Contribution Rate sections given at the end of the template file, should be carefully written by the Corresponding Author.
We require up to 5 “Key Words” and 3 prominent themes as “Highlights” as indicated in template file.
Citations to papers that are published in our journal must be written with English title as:
Turkish Journal of Earthquake Research
or with its English abbreviation as:
Turk. J. Earthq. Res.
Other journal abbreviations should be made by the format given in the link below:

If the journal name is not visible on the link, the full name of the journal should be written.
Except in exceptional circumstances, at least 30% of the references should include current studies conducted within the last 5 years. Unpublished or inaccessible graduate theses, papers, articles, web pages, personal communications, etc. should be avoided (as much as possible) as scientific citation.

Please do not produce personal derivation or create mixed type writing schemes such as:

Citation in Reference List
Please write English title and institution of Turkish papers, book, theses, conference papers (if available), even they are originally written in Turkish language. Please avoid to cite inaccessible references that researchers cannot reach.
References need to be written in alphabetical order. Journal name should be emphasized as italic.
