She completed her undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral education at Ege University. After graduating from her undergraduate program in 1999, Baysan-Arabacı worked as a nurse at the Psychiatry Clinic of Ege University Faculty of Medicine Hospital for two years. Between 2001 and 2011, she served as a research assistant at the Faculty of Nursing at Ege University. In 2011, Baysan-Arabacı began working as a faculty member in the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University (İKÇU). She received the title of Associate Professor in 2015 and Professor in 2020. Between 2017 and 2020, she served as the Director of the Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center at İKÇU. In addition to her memberships in professional and scientific organizations, she holds certifications as a co-therapist in Psychodrama and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and in Forensic Nursing. Her research interests include Social Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatric Nursing, Domestic Violence, and Scale Validity and Reliability. She currently continues her work at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University as the Chair of the Addiction Prevention Commission, Vice Chair of the Nursing Department, and Head of the Department of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.
