Received her Ph.D. degree from The Department of Architecture at Karadeniz Technical University in 2009. She has continued her work as a professor at the same institution. She has published articles in English and Turkish in various academic journals on topics such as architectural design, transparency in architecture, perception and meaning in architecture, and cultural heritage, which are her main research interests, and teaches various courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in these fields.

Ahmet İlkay Ceyhan undertook his undergraduate studies at Charles de Gaulle University in Lille, France, before progressing to the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Bahçeşehir University (Istanbul). He subsequently attained a Master’s degree in European Union and International Relations at L’Institut Européen Des Hautes Études Internationales in Nice, France. He then pursued a PhD at İstanbul University Faculty of Communication, with a thesis on “Public Diplomacy in Political Communication.” Between 2013 and 2015, he worked as a researcher at universities in the United States, Hungary, and Poland. He currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Political Communication and chairs the Public Relations and Advertising Department at İstanbul Kent University. His areas of expertise include political communication, nation-branding, digital communication, media diplomacy, public diplomacy, propaganda, agenda-setting, and digital politics. Additionally, he provides communication consultancy to various institutions in crisis communication, strategic communication, corporate communication, and political advertising.
After studying Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, he worked as an assistant director in various feature films, short films, documentaries, and commercials. After that, he studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in the USA. His Bread (2012) short film was screened at nearly 70 international film festivals and won 13 awards. He received production support from the animation project The Head (2014) from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the film was screened at nearly 40 international film festivals and won 6 awards. He was a jury member at the 8th Pentedattilo Film Festival in Italy. He made two more animated films called Same (2016) for the 3rd Istanbul Triennial and Cycle (2016) for TRT. He was co-producer in the feature film Under the Sky (2016) and director in the documentary Migration (2022). He worked as an animation director in the documentary series (22 episodes) Turning Points in World History, documentaries The Hidden Kingdom, and Fuat Sezgin for TRT. With the documentary production support he received from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, he directed Why Cinema (2022), a satire on cinema education in Turkey. He gave seminars and lectures on cinema in many organizations and universities. He completed his master's and Ph.D. in Cinema Studies at Marmara University, Turkey. In 2023, he became an associate professor in Fine Arts - Cinema. From 2023 to 2024, he worked as the Head of the Department of Film Design and Directing at Istanbul Medeniyet University. He worked as a film critic in the Hayal Perdesi Cinema Magazine for eight years. He is still an academic at Istanbul Medeniyet University and continues his practical and theoretical studies on cinema.

Özlem Arda, who is a lecturer at Istanbul University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, Department of Cinema, received her bachelor’s degrees from Istanbul University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, Department of Cinema in 2004, and Hasan Âli Yücel Faculty of Education, Department of Foreign Language Education, Department of English Language Education in 2005. After completing her master’s degree with a thesis titled “Ethnographic Documentary in Transposing the Culture”, she completed her doctorate with a thesis titled “Documentary Film as a Sample of The Third Cinema in Latin American Cinema and Turkish Cinema by 2000s” in the same department. Özlem Arda, who received her title as an associate professor, is conducting research in the field of documentary film. Özlem Arda’s documentary film “The Soul People of Anatolia (Anadolu’da Can İnsanları)” (2004), which has won the Safranbolu International 5. Golden Saffron Documentary Festival Best Documentary Award (Third) and Columbia Tri-Star I.National Short Film Competition Best Documentary Award (First). Arda continues to work in the fields of digital cinema, documentary film, ecological cinema, interactive documentary, television studies and new media.
