Mehmet Dilaver was born in Izmir, Turkey and received his B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from Dokuz Eylul University in 2006 as a top student. He worked at private environmental engineering company and university research laboratory as an environmental engineer between 2006 and 2009. He joined Dr. Kim's group in 2009 as a MS/Ph.D. with the full support from Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education Graduate Scholarship. After he had obtained MS degree at 2011 from GaTech, he started his PhD studies at Gebze Technical University in Gebze, Turkey and earned PhD degree in 2018. His PhD thesis title is "Caustic and hot water recovery in the textile industry by ceramic membrane filtration".He has been working for TUBITAK Marmara Research Center as a researcher since 2012. His main research interest in developing ceramic membrane technology for water treatment and recovery of valuable chemicals and water. He is also focusing on water resources management, integrated river basin management, water quality studies, TMDL applications, WFD implemantations.
