Istanbul Journal of Economics-İstanbul İktisat Dergisi is an open access, peer-reviewed, scholarly journal published two times a year in June and December. It has been an official publication of Istanbul University Faculty of Economics since 1939. The manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal must be scientific and original work in English.
Istanbul Journal of Economics-İstanbul İktisat Dergisi is one of the earliest peer-reviewed academic journals in Turkey in the area of Economics. The journal provides a forum for exploring issues in basicly Economics but also welcomes the articles in various social science areas such as sociology of economics, history, social policy, international relations, financial studies. The target group of the journal consists of academicians, researchers, professionals, students, related professional and academic bodies and institutions.
All expenses of the journal are covered by the Istanbul University. Processing and publication are free of charge with the journal. There is no article processing charges or submission fees for any submitted or accepted articles.
In accordance with the decision taken by the Editorial Board of the Istanbul University Journal of Economics, articles prepared by graduate students (master’s and doctoral level) under the supervision of the editors, as well as by researchers who currently maintain an advisory relationship with the editors, will not be considered for publication in the journal.
This decision has been made to ensure editorial impartiality, maintain the independence of the peer-review process, and uphold scientific and ethical principles.
Our journal remains firmly committed to transparency, adherence to ethical standards, and the prevention of conflicts of interest throughout the academic publishing process.
