From 2017 to 2019, he was a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University, where he also held the position of Vice Director of the Institute of Social Sciences. He received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Political Science and Public Administration from Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. His main research interests include post-secularism, Islamism, secularism, nationalism, identity politics, Turkish politics, the political economy of health, and gender studies. He is the founding editor-in-chief and publisher of Lectio Socialis, a peer-reviewed academic journal in the social sciences. |
