Bio

Dr. Cuneyt Yenigun is an Associate Professor of International Relations/Political Science and Founder Director of International Relations and Security Studies Master Program and Founder Head of Political Science Department in Sultan Qaboos University. In his long academic experience, he worked in Florida State University (US), Istanbul Kultur University (Turkey), American University in the Emirates (Dubai), and Sakarya University and also taught in some universities as international faculty under the European Union Socrates Program such as in Malmo University, International Balkan University, and Barcelona Autonomous University. He has served as a member and chair of establishing a committee of seven departments, three postgraduate schools, and a university so far. He has been awarded “Best Social Science Scholar”, “Best Speaker”, "Best Supervisor" and “Best Teacher” (nine times) in his academic record. He has organized tens of international conferences and eighty seminars for academicians and students. He served as Scientific Committee member and chair more than a hundred of international conferences. He supervised more than fifty Master's and Ph.D. thesis and was selected as a thesis committee member in more than a hundred defenses in different countries. Dr. Yenigun is a member of the editorial board of thirteen indexed/refereed and Scopus indexed journals. He is the author of four books, several articles in Web of Science and Scopus, and chapters in books. His teaching and research areas intensify on International Relations, International Conflict Resolution, Security Studies, and Middle East Studies.
