İlknur Özcan, was born in Kars on 06.05.1962. She began her dentistry education in1981 and completed the education in 1987. She presented the title of Transcutaneus Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) Activity at Temporomandibular Muscle Pain Dysfunction Syndrome PhD thesis and took the degree of Dr.Med.Dent. She became associate professor in 1995 .She became Professor in 2001. She is still academic personal in the İstanbul University Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
