Mehmet Karakilcik is an Professor Doctor at the Physics Department, Faculty of Sciences and Letters, Çukurova University in Adana. He received his PhD from Physics Department of Çukurova University in 1998. His research activities are consisted of theoretical models and experimentally systems regarding solar ponds, solar energy, solar collectors, heat storage, integrated thermal energy systems, underground hydrogen storage, hydrogen production systems. Also he is worked about multigeneration renewable energy systems and their energy and exergy analysis. Now, He is working on wind energy, photovoltaic systems, photovoltaic-thermal (PV/T) and on the improve on integrated hydrogen production systems, and hydrogen reactor. He was worked as researcher as a visiting Assistant Professor Dr (2004-2005, 2006) at the Institute of Technology of the University of Ontario (UOIT), Canada. He is corresponding co-author and senior author of more than 100 publications in journals, book chapters (Springer and Nova book publisher), conference proceedings and also he was gave lectures at "Summer Course On Exergy and Its Applications" that it was organized at fifteen different universities in Turkey. His publication got citied 925 (h-indexing 17), 620 citiations (h-indexing 15) and 555 times citiations (h-indexing 14) at the Google Scholor Academic , Scopus and Isı Web Of Science, respectively. Karakilcik was co-editored in special issue of International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. He also editorial board members of Journals of Sciences Publishing Groups (SPG), The Open Fuels & Energy Science Journal and as a reviwer in the articles to many highly quality journals have contributed which are Publisher Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, Willey and SPG.
