Bio
I was employed as a TA at the Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of Geological Engineering from October 2000 to Feb. 2006. I pursued research on various aspects of projects related to Engineering Geology, Site Investigations, Geo-environmental Engineering, Rock Mechanics and Earthquake Geotechnics. Between Aug. 2003 to June 2004, I pursued research at The University of Texas at Austin, Civil Eng. Dept. as a Research Scholar. During my stay in Austin-Texas, I worked on my Ph.D. thesis and on one of the USGS research project. I was also granted Research Assistantship by The UT, Austin. From November 2007 to present, I have been working at Gazi University, Earthquake Engineering Implementation and Research Center as an Academic Position. At this center, I am working on different subject fields and projects related to Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, Engineering Geology, and Engineering Seismology.
