Dr. Mohamed Osman Guudle is an Associate Professor at the School of Graduate Studies of the University of Hargeisa, Somaliland. He has a Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from Istanbul University, an M.Sc. in Economics from Bilgi University in Istanbul, and attended M.A. in Development Economics from Unity University in Addis Ababa.
Dr. Guudle's main research areas are economics, development economics, economic security, political science, political conflicts, and post-conflict issues in the Horn of Africa. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Middle Eastern Studies, The Journal of Mediterranean Basin and African Civilizations, Asya Studies , the Journal of African Development, and the Journal of Economic Policy Reform.
Dr. Guudle worked as a consultant with government and nongovernmental organizations in Somaliland, Ethiopia, Türkiye and other. He has served as the Dean of Economics Department at Admas University Hargeisa, and as the Dean of Students and Community Affairs of AUH. Dr. Guudle is a well-respected scholar and his work has been published in a number of academic journals. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops on issues related to economics, politics, and security in the Horn of Africa.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Guudle is also a Senior Political Advisor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Somaliland. In this role, he provides advice on a range of issues, including political diplomacy, foreign policy, international relations, economic development, security, and human rights. Dr. Guudle is a valuable asset to the academic and political communities in Somaliland. His expertise and experience make him a valuable resource for those who are working to build a better future for the country.
